"Comfortable beds, good shower and best location in town but we had some problems. First, it was nearly impossible to find and inexplicably the only sign is a tiny piece of paper that’s posted inside a hallway. We called for directions and they did not speak any English, which is unusual for a hotel in Europe. "The property is in a quiet area that is a very short tram ride from the center of Basel. It is a short stroll to necessities, including the tram. The proprietors are really lovely people—friendly and warm and conscientious. The property is very comfortable and peaceful. And breakfast was delicious!"

"Pleasant suburban location with restaurants and banks etc close by. The rooms are clean and modern but have no air conditioning and consequently very hot (in summer). Drinking water, tea, coffee etc is provided free in a shared communal facility on each floor. The church (very nearby) chimes every half hour even during the night which for some disturbs sleep."
