A charming little boutique hotel. Great character, clean and well maintained. I wish the menu in the bar was a bit more extensive, both in food and spirits. I wish there was more consistent hot water when I took a shower. But there were a lot of people at the property for a conference and old pipes.
Some of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Some seemed inconvenienced by their job. That was a bummer.

The staff was great. I had staff text me to make sure my stay was going well.The only thing was they didn’t have my king room ready so we had to take a double queen size room but everything else was great with the stay

Everything about the Swanendele Inn was exceptional: the location, the accommodations, the facilities, the decor, the hosts, and, not least, the breakfast. In fact, you could spend several days just exploring the remarkable antiques and artifacts around the place. However, what made the strongest impression was the fiery glow of dawn though the pine trees outside our balcony every morning in the Margeret Brent suite. Rhododaktylos, "The rosy-fingered dawn": I never understood the true meaning of that phrase until I saw that.
