The Window of the World (世界之窗) in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. It’s China Mainland’s second theme park after reform and opening up in 1979, and has about 130 reproductions of some of the most famous tourist attractions in the world squeezed into 48 hectares (118 acres). The 108 metre (354 ft) tall Eiffel Tower dominates the skyline and the sight of the Pyramids and the Taj Mahal all in proximity to each other are all part of the appeal of this theme park.

Looking west to the Window of the World (世界之窗) from my friend’s apartment in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. It’s China Mainland’s second theme park after reform and opening up in 1979, and has about 130 reproductions of some of the most famous tourist attractions in the world squeezed into 48 hectares (118 acres). Check in was easy and staff were helpful. Overall, a good stay. My only criticism is that the air conditioning unit was quite loud otherwise cannot fault the rest.

They really shouldn’t be called a 5-star hotel. The staffs are nice and friendly but the service is not yet up to the international standard. I would have considered staying there again for work if they could improve their in-room service. Apparently all their restaurants shut down early and their in-room service is outside food delivery service, everything comes in plastic bags. Trust me you don’t see this in any 5-star hotel.
