Sebago Basin Lakehouse with Beach Access Weekly in Summer and for School Year
Enjoy a relaxing and fun-filled stay with family or friends. Young children can be entertained for hours on the sandy, association beach and in the shallow water. Older children and adults can swim or kayak (four kayaks are provided) in the afternoon sun. Read a good book in the shade or take a nap on the sunny beach. Cook your dinner on the outdoor grill while you watch the gorgeous evening sunset over the water. Spend some time exploring the Portland/Windham area and all the beauty that Maine has to offer. Restaurants, ice cream parlors and shopping are only a mile or two away. Take a leisurely stroll to the store or a more rigorous hike through the woods. Your summer vacation will be a memorable one at this desirable beachfront property! Sorry--no mooring or dock available. This property is also available as a school year rental at a monthly rate (September through May or June, depending on renters' needs). Contact Paula or Doug via email or phone if interested.

Great Location
Location could not have been better, directly across the street from the Sebago Basin which was clean and had both sunny and shady spots to relax. There were lots of restaurants and shops within a 5 minute drive. The owners were easy to work with and provided all you would need for a day at the beach - chairs, kayaks, beach toys, tubes as well as a fire pit for evening fires on the beach which my family loved. The few things that could have made the stay more comfortable would have been more towels and linens; onsite laundry (especially considering we had 6 bath towels for a family of 4 for an entire week) and more air conditioning (only the upstairs bedroom had air conditioning). The downstairs got quite hot and humid (especially the bathroom) and the few days that it was mid/high 80's+ it got very uncomfortable. Overall, lovely owners and would recommend to friends.

Fantastic lakeside location by private beach in a beautiful part of Maine. Highly recommended.
We stayed at Paula’s cabin on Sebago Lake Basin for a week in August 2018 and had an absolutely fantastic time. The cabin is meters from a private beach on the beautiful lake and provided our three young children with a truly great holiday. The shallow lake approach and easy access to the beach meant that the kids could enjoy the freedom of swimming and kayaking whilst allowing the adults to relax in beautiful surroundings.
The cabin itself was exactly what we were hoping for. It was very clean, suitably furnished and spacious enough for a family with 3 children. The added bonus were the water inflatables and kayaks which the kids loved using daily.
The secluded semi private beach was within 20 metres of the front door and even allowed us to have an evening bonfire to roast marshmallows.
We had a true Maine holiday that we hoped for.
Thank you to Paula and Doug and we hope to return one day in the future.

We stayed here for three nights and four days in August. It was easy to coordinate with the owners who are lovely. The house was perfect for our little crew of 4 kids and three adults. The absolute highlight of the whole stay is the location being directly across from the community beach. You can get back and forth so easily with kayaks, inflateables, kids who have to go to the bathroom etc. the water is shallow and safe and exceptional for little kids. You can get to the store in less than 5 minutes but feel like you’re miles away.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was the perfect size for our family. The amenities were great, the grill, the fire pit appliances were all great. It was right across the street from a great beach and the water. Plus, it was 2 minures downtown Windham with all the stores and restaurants we could want. Really can't say enough about what a wonderful experience it was
Everything went smoothly, and Paula is very organized and helpful and caring. I would definitely rent this place again. My family enjoyed it very much.
The cabin was clean and well equipped. We loved the easy beach access the kayaks and all the personal touches. The owners are attentive and make sure you have what you need. The spiral staircase is cool but I’m glad my husband and I were able to use the downstairs bedroom while my daughter son in law and 3 kids comfortably used the upstairs bedroom with bunk beds for the kids. It was a great spot to have people come see us while we were home visiting.
Adorable property with a great location. Owners are very responsive and accommodating. The kids love the upstairs loft area. The downstairs bed isn’t the most comfortable but that might just be my preference. I very much enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the lake
The view from Paula’s house is beautiful! We walked down to the beach each morning to have coffee and would then kayak around the basin with the loons. The neighbors are kind and helpful! I would make the following recommendations: ensure that the house is thoroughly clean for the guests and that all bedding is updated. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would do so again!
Property is perfectly located across the road from the beach. Easy walk for the family down to the water. We were slightly concerned before booking about the road with kids, but vehicles were slow and limited so it was a non issue.. The house has anything you could need for the stay and lake activity. Games, books, cooking supplies, and flashlights. Lake toys, life jackets for adults and youth, buckets, games, floats, and boogie boards. More than we expected! Neighborhood is nice, quiet, and friendly. Short drive to lots of stores, restaurants, and things to do. Internet would drop sometimes during the day but worked fine for the Roku to watch at night. Hosts were quickly responsive for questions during our stay. Overall a nice place to stay for a lakeside getaway. I hope to be back!
The location itself is amazing! Right across the street from the beach. Very family friendly and very kind people in the area! The house is clean but lacking some necessities. 6 towels for 6 people for a week ! The beds are horribly uncomfortable especially the 2 that are futon beds. If you planned on using the internet for any kind of work don't bother because it goes out all of the time! Yes, there are sand and beach toys, half are broken and nothing to blow tubes up with. Their is a spiral staircase leading upstairs, this is fine unless you have small children or elderly people with you. We definitely paid for the location the house leaves something to be desired.....
We enjoyed our weeks stay at this property. It was just the right size for our family of 5. Great Lake view and access to lake. Owner checked on us during the week. We would defiantly look to stay again.
The lake house was in a perfect location. It was enjoyable to sit on the deck and look out at the lake. The beach was sandy and the lake had crystal clear water for swimming. The neighborhood was nice and peaceful. We sat on the beach and watched the beautiful sunset every night. The house was well equipped with dishes, pots and pans and utensils if you want to cook your own meals. It was a very short drive to the grocery store. There are also plenty of restaurants a short drive away. We had a fantastic week.
Great location, a vacation getaway tucked into an area with everything you need nearby. The property managers were responsive and the cabin came with lots of toys for the kids and kayaks. Great sunsets. Highly recommended.
This cottage was perfect for our group, especially with the beach directly across the way as the children could easily go back and forth when needed. The view was beautiful. Especially helpful was the large selection of beach chairs & toys, kayaks and life vests!
Enjoyed this property for the 2nd consecutive year - this time for two weeks. Casual property that feels at home right away. Spectacular view for being across the road from the shared beach. Very relaxing.
Due to the pandemic, our normal summer plans were ruined. We were able to get this nice rental in the Basin of Sebago Lake. The owners were very helpful with any questions we had and made sure we had anything we needed during our stay.
