The grounds were beautiful with easy access to the beach. Our room was large, bed was comfortable, and were happy with the amenities. The parking was a nightmare. Staff would block off entrances to the lot even though we could see available spaces, forcing you to valet. Then they would add a $10 parking fee to your bill. We were able to get the parking fees removed after voicing all of our complaints before checkout. There were extremely long waits for food and seemed to be definite issues with service. We tried to be patient and understanding considering the times, but there really did seem to be adequate staff, just poor communication and management. We dealt with little things such as there never being bananas the whole time we were there even though banana daiquiris were on the menu, car being returned to us with a broken side mirror, broken sink drain, etc but the tipping point was the owner talking us into reserving a spot in the restaurant for lobster night. We were told by her to pre reserve a whole lobster because they would be flown in that day. So we did just that and planned our whole day around our reservation at 8:00 pm. Well when we got to our dinner they did not have a table for us outside for the ocean front dining experience that was boasted to us and they were “sold out” of the whole lobsters despite our pre reserving them. We were given apologies but no rectifying the situation. Needless to say we found another restaurant to give our money to.
