Adventure Base Camp #1
8/10 Good
"The host was very accommodating for our check in time requirments. It was a beautiful walk to the river. Very good for a camping like experience with the luxury of a real bed. "
Delightful cabin in Hungry Horse on River with Mountain View’s
10/10 Excellent
"James is very nice to help out before our arrival. The cabin is simple but clean. The king size bed is comfortable. There are a mini fridge, a microwave, one table and two chairs in the cabin. The cabin is not big but quite practical. The outhouse and show room are also out in the yard clean. The shower water was not very warm but they provided us additional warm water in the bucket. Towels were provided but you’d better take your own soap and shampoo. The only thing not very convinient is they don’t have a basin and water source other than the shower. Fortuantely we have some containers to wash our fruits and vegetables when they gave us another bucket of freshwater. Overall, it was a good experience and James even made us a campfire the first evening we arrived. Their house is at the same territory. The cabin is only 15 mins drive to the west entrance and on the way there is a gas station. James asked us to drop in at his store and got some free coffee, we just didn’t get the time. Everything turns out to work properly. I and my teenage girl had a wonderful time in the national park. We look forward to going back another time."
"We had a great time in Glacier, & on the Going to the Sun Road. The RV was just down the road from the park, and perfect for returning to after a long days. At first we thought it was in front of someone’s house, because you can’t see that from the pictures. It was fine though, and Brendan the host was attentive to questions and very helpful. We would stay again, our kids loved the RV! It is close to a kid friendly restaurant (Paul Bunyans) & a distillery. We grabbed a few drinks & ate at Josephine’s up the hill. The Huckleberry shop had a lot of options for gifts.Overall, it was a great location close to all we needed!"
"What a wonderful stay and what great hosts Amy and Joe are. The property is located perfectly to enjoy the park and the surrounding areas. So many amenities are provided and we needed to stay an extra week just to take advantage of them all. Thanks Amy and Joe! "
Hungry Horse Cabin: 11 Mi to Glacier National Park
10/10 Excellent
"Cute, comfortable place to stay close to Glacier National Park.
Cabin was clean, beds were comfy, kitchen was well stocked (pots, pans, utensils, lots of extras, and some basic spices etc.) with anything you might need to make a meal. Love that the fridge has an ice maker.
The hosts were very communicative and clear about check in and check out.
I left a necklace and they contacted me quickly and kindly mailed it to me.
I will definitely book this again for my next Glacier trip. "
"The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Really nice location close to glacier. Only downside was that the surrounding neighborhood was sketch."
"If you are looking for a simple, quite, peaceful place this is it. There is nothing fancy about this place and it feels more like camping, but it is also WAY cheaper than anything else around. My wife and I met the owner, James, who was super friendly and has all the local knowledge! We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to get back out there soon. "
