We came to visit the Ark encounter for my dad’s birthday. We were only minutes away which was a huge plus. I would highly recommend and definitely stay again.

Close to Ark Encounter

Great place to stay with plenty of room for a large group. Easy drive (45 minutes) to Creation Museum and very short drive to Ark Encounter. The host provided coffee and snacks!

Ark Encounter Stay

We wanted somewhere to stay to accommodate a family trip. The home slept our family of 10 comfortably. We had enough space to spread out and enjoy each other. The beds were comfortable and the home had a nice atmosphere. The host provided everything we needed to make for a great visit.

Great Stay

The house was nice, clean and had plenty of supplies. It is missing a can opener but other than that it has everything you would need. Minutes from the ARC if you’re interested in seeing that. If I’m ever back that way I will be staying again.

Spacious and inviting home

We stayed here on a family trip to the Ark. We arrived late after a long drive and were thrilled to see such a warm and inviting home. The space seems larger than it does in the photos. Everything was incredibly clean and well maintained. The distance from the Ark Encounter was also a huge plus. The ramp into the kitchen was perfect for my mom who uses a walker. Thanks for a great stay!!

Comfortable! Spacious! Perfect!

We comfortably fit 3 couples, 4 teens and 1 child in this home. We all slept amazingly well on these beds! The kitchen is a great size for cooking. Dining room has table big enough to seat 8-10 people. The living room has a nice tv with comfortable seating. The air hockey table was a hit with all 5 kids! The host was wonderful with communication! Check in and check out we’re flawless. Location is amazing. Quiet neighborhood located within 10 minutes to restaurants and Walmart. I would recommend staying here! You won’t regret it.

Comfortable, Pleasant and Well-appointed

Our family of five (kids ages: 16, 13, 10) recently stayed at Peter's place while visiting the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. He has done a great job renewing this little rancher from the 50s/60s. It does not feel old at all, and, in fact, the freshly finished basement level with a beautiful bathroom feels brand new. We were very comfortable here. This property would easily accommodate a larger family, or two small-medium size families traveling together. The basement has two bedrooms and a bathroom - great for a separate family group, or for teens, etc. Our kids loved the air hockey table in the basement as well, and with the Smart TV and wifi, it's a great getaway. Kitchen is well stocked with essentials and the sheets and mattresses are GREAT. Also nice to have the option to do laundry if needed. Location is fantastic - 5 minutes from the Ark (literally just across from it on the other side of the interstate), and an easy 35 minute drive north to the Creation Museum. The neighborhood is an older residential area. Although it doesn't give an immediately awesome first impression as you drive in, it is very quiet and the houses are all well kept with nicely manicured yards and decent looking cars. We heard no noise at all from neighboring houses. It was peaceful and pleasant. Also, the trees were just budding. I imagine the neighborhood will look and feel much different and even nicer once the trees are in full foliage. I would definitely stay here again!

We rested and kids enjoyed playing the games provided. Loved the colorful artwork! The snacks, breakfast & coffee provided saved us as we weren’t didn’t make it to the grocery after a long day driving and getting the youngest to bed.

Very quiet location, close to the Main St area (which is going through something of a revitalization, so definitely check it out!The house has 2 driveways, which is nice, but one is quite steep. The other, on the left of the front door, is by a nice walkway that leads up to the backdoor as well.The interior was clean, and had just the right amount of furniture.Layout of the living is a bit awkward with the TV on the wall perpendicular to the couch because it's hard to watch a movie looking to your left all the time. We spent most of the night planning ways to rearrange the living room if "this was our place" :DKitchen was clean - no issues with the filtered water from the fridge either - no weird taste etc.Hallway is narrow though, so single lane traffic only - I had suggested to the host that they convert the door to the basement room/bathroom/game room to a barn door or pocket door. You can't get into the bathroom in the hallway if the basement door is open.Basement rooms were quite a surprise. The bedroom/extra bed with the very large spacious bathroom were spot on. The game room is loud though, because of the tiled floor and lack of furnishings to soak up the noise from the air hockey table (which is super fun BTW).The house is only about 10 mins from the Ark Encounter, and about 15mins from Rt 75 further up north (go visit Hansie Flip Burger in Williamstown and Beans on Rt75).

Great house near the Ark Encounter

This was a great location for our family to stay. The only problem we encountered was the temperature in the basement. It was very cold due to the fact that the house only had one thermostat and it was on the main (upstairs) floor. We enquired about it, were told that there were space heaters in each room, but when we plugged more than one in, it tripped the breakers every time. It wasn't a problem that I wouldn't stay here again, but I probably wouldn't come in the winter. That was the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5. We loved the house completely and would recommend it otherwise.

Very close to the Ark (5 minutes). House is well kept and has plenty of room. We had a great time and found this rental to be very convinient, especially having a full kitchen, compared to staying in a hotel. Owner was very responsive when we contacted him with a couple of questions. Great experience and would rent again.
