Very spacious, clean, quiet and great kitchen with pots, pans, etc. Location is remote but ideal for a lot of places in Vermont. Overall had a wonderful time!
We had a great stay, the newly renovated kitchen is gorgeous, the bathtub upstairs is huge. We slept well and had everything we needed. We shopped at Bergamot & Amor, had lunch at Sarducci’s in Montpelier & enjoyed the warmth of the pellet stove in the evenings.
This property was beautiful, it still had that old time feel but was beautifully remodeled and decorated. It was spacious and had everything we needed. The town was quiet and we enjoyed checking out the barn.
I rented with my father and adult son to visit my other son and partner who live nearby. We were glad to find a dog-friendly home that was spacious, clean and well appointed to host a nice meal.for all. The location allowed us to be close enough to ski resorts as well as Montpelier and we snowshoed around the property as well.
Lovely home, quiet location, accurately described online.
Our stay was short but very comfortable.
Bed in Master Bedroom & the 1st floor bed were soooo comfortable!!! Best night sleep in a long time! Thank you
We had a fantastic stay at this gorgeous property! The host’s impeccable taste is evident in every small detail, making the space feel both luxurious and welcoming. The house is filled with high-tech appliances that add a touch of modern convenience, and the fenced-in backyard is perfect for relaxation and privacy.
The beautiful barn on the property is a unique feature that adds so much charm. The location is ideal—close to the capital and only about an hour from Burlington, Vermont’s most populated city. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this stunning home!

We only had one night to be here and we would have loved to stay longer! The house is more comfortable and pleasant than the photos appear. Perhaps this is because the rooms are all quite large. One could imagine a large farm family had lived here in the early days. We certainly appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and took full advantage of the Nespresso machine! We would definitely come again.
The farmhouse is extremely charming. We especially loved the kitchen and the pellet stove. The rooms are more spacious than the pictures seem in the listing, which is great. We had difficulty with the gate to the fenced-in area for our dog, so we had to travel through the barn to get to the fenced-in area. It was an adventure! Williamstown is a quaint town and a short drive from Montpelier and Waterbury, which made our outings easy. Our only complaint is that the floors were very dirty upon arrival.
We loved our stay at the Fogg Farmhouse! Easy to find, very clean, seamless check-in process. The kitchen was lovely and got lots of use, as did the beautiful upstairs bathroom with deep clawfoot tub. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather for porch coffee in the morning. Though the fenced yard was a little too "wild" for our young dog (there is access to the antique barn, as well as the space underneath the barn), we were able to utilize the nearby dog park in Barre so that he could run around! The stairs to the second floor are steep and a little bit slippery, as to be expected with a house of this age, but that's just something to note for anyone with mobility issues. This house has been lovingly updated and maintained, and staying here was a true pleasure!
This property has been through recent renovations. The home has new open space. The kitchen is the big prize for those staying at Fogg Farm. Massive room with high end appliances. Nice views of nearby hills. It is a quiet area, yet close to everything. You are just 5 minutes from Rt 89 and 10 minutes from Barre. Williamstown is a quaint area for some R & R. The people are very nice. It is a happy place.
The second floor boasts a new Ball and Claw Tub with ample space to rest the weary muscles from walking and hiking. Everything is now a modern country feel where it has been renovated. We will be back soon.
Our stay was amazing....We needed a place to stay for a business trip but also wanted to bring our pup along for the fun....This old farmhouse has been updated with a beautiful kitchen, a pellet stove, a gorgeous clawfoot bath tub, a fenced in yard for the pup to run, and a large fridge (with android interface- which my boyfriend loved- I actually have no idea what that means...) yet still retained that 1850's feel with gorgeous original maple floors, tin ceilings, and hand hewn beams. Our bedroom was very comfortable- tons of pillows and a cozy bed (all the beds looked so cozy)! A Perfect place to stay with your family- larger than it it looks on the web- rooms are very big! We actually wished we had booked a longer stay- alas- next time! Thank you so much Allie- Perfect!

We stayed at this beautifully remodeled farmhouse for a wedding weekend in the area. While there were many updates that added to the charm, there are a few points worth noting.Firstly, when you are here for a wedding with 5 adults, the lack of closets in any of the bedrooms or anywhere in the home was a disappointment. There was no place to hang any clothing other than the few hooks by the front door. The rooms themselves were lovely, and the beds were comfortable; however, it was quite cold upstairs, which is typical for old farmhouses. Thankfully, we found space heaters in the rooms that helped warm things upThe kitchen was well-equipped but was missing a microwave and a coffee pot. Although there was a French press and a Nespresso maker, we only had four coffee pods, which was insufficient for five coffee drinkers over a two-day stay. There were also not enough towels for the 5 of us for 2 days. Although I don’t mind reusing the towel, it would be nice to have a place to hang them up.Lastly, I was taken aback by the checkout instructions found in a book on the dining room table. It stated to close and lock all doors and windows, which we did. However, after we left, I received a message from the owner that the maid could not get in and that I would be charged for a locksmith. Fortunately, the maid was able to get in, and I was not charged, but they really need to make the checkout procedures clearer and specify that the front door should not be locked.
The location is great, we able to have some fun hikes in the area and delicious food in Montpelier. In terms of the house itself, the kitchen is great, one of the upstairs bedrooms is very large and light filled And the upstairs bathroom with long tub is great. There are some aspects of the description of the property that were didn’t meet our expectations. The barn is on one side of the fenced in yard and has openings to the bottom level of the barn. That level was full of loose boards with nails on them and our dogs immediately wanted to go in there. So we could not let our dogs go in the fenced in yard. We are trying to find the gym and it must be the yoga mat with two sets of hand weights.
We stayed here for Norwich Univ graduation with family weekend of April 25-29. The location to the Univ was less then 20 mins. Which was a nice plus. The kitchen was perfect! We brought food, cooked and ate all our meals here. The size of the kitchen made this home perfect for us- it’s where our family always gathers. We did bring our own Keurig for coffee as we’re not Nespesso coffee drinkers- having this option there would have been nice.
Everything we needed was provided for the bedrooms and bathrooms; plenty of blankets, towels, shampoos, etc.
One important mention- the stairs to the 2nd floor are steep! This is a beautifully remodeled old farmhouse so expected, but still hard on the knees- and not appropriate for our elderly Mom. Very helpful to have a bedroom on the first floor
We would happily stay here again! The Host was always prompt when responding and the home was cozy. Thank you for sharing your home
We had a great stay in this charming house - very clean and comfortable, convenient location, lovely touches throughout. Everything was easy, a perfect weekend getaway for our family of six!
