## Space

Welcome to Wijkiki Beach House, a warm and inviting 90m² home in the heart of Wijk aan Zee, just a short walk from the North Sea coast. The open-plan living room, dining area, and kitchen flow naturally into each other, with large windows looking out over the village meadow. It feels light, spacious, and genuinely lived-in the kind of place you settle into straight away.

Upstairs you'll find two bedrooms, a bathroom with both a shower and a bath overlooking the meadow, and a separate toilet. The main bedroom has a spacious double bed (180x200) and the second has two single beds (80x200).

The kitchen is a proper cook's kitchen, with two combi-ovens and a large stove with a wok burner. Plenty of room to put together a real meal after a long day at the beach.

Travelling with children? The house comes fully equipped for little ones: toys, two travel cots, a Stokke high chair, and safety gates at the stairs.

Your four-legged travel companion is welcome too. Dogs are free to enjoy the open-plan kitchen and living area downstairs. We just ask that they are not left alone in the house and stay off the upstairs bedrooms.

The house is all yours during your stay, with the exception of the back garden and laundry room which are shared with our lovely neighbour Nancy.

Our local housekeeper Chantal takes care of the cleaning and knows the house well. She lives nearby and can be reached should you need anything during your stay.

## Neighborhood

Wijk aan Zee is one of those rare seaside villages that has managed to stay exactly itself. Wide sandy beaches, a handful of great beach bars and restaurants, and endless dunes stretching out in every direction. The beach is a short walk from the front door, ideal for an early morning walk with the dog, a surf session, or simply watching the waves.The dunes and nature reserves around the village are perfect for long walks and cycling. The beach is one of the widest on the Dutch coast and a popular spot for kite surfing when the wind picks up.For a day trip, Alkmaar, Haarlem, and Amsterdam are all within easy reach. Alkmaar's famous cheese market is worth a visit, and Amsterdam is just over an hour away by public transport.

## Transit

Wijk aan Zee is a 20-minute drive from Schiphol Airport. Free parking is available right in front of the house.By public transport, take the train to Beverwijk station, then hop on bus 75 or 78 towards Wijk aan Zee. Get off at the Julianaweg stop, a 5-minute walk from the house. The full journey from Amsterdam takes around 80 minutes.

ℹ️ The back garden and laundry room are shared with neighbour Nancy, though she is not always around. Our housekeeper Chantal lives nearby and is your local point of contact if needed.
