Perfect place for my husband and I to celebrate our 20th anniversary! Great location, house was spotless, and easy access to the lake for kayaking. We would definitely stay here again.
Perfect rural, lakeside Vermont getaway. House was just as pictured. We did a couple trips into Wilmington for food, coffee, shopping. Went to Molly Stark park, brewery and distillery.
I enjoyed my two night stay here at the cozy little lake house. the home has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. I enjoy the lake, many geese and got to see a Blue Herron visiting the dock.
I would definitely book another stay here again in the future.
We had a great weekend away. The house was clean and cozy. The weather didn't cooperate for us to enjoy the water or the fire pit, but the hot tub let us spend some time outside. Breakfast and lunch were a nice treat!
This is a great spot for a getaway! The space was spotless. There was a lot of privacy. The location was close to everything we needed. The space is cozy and super fun with the hot tub and fore pit!
We we are able to enjoy the included breakfast, which was great before skiing!
Really enjoyed our stay at this tiny house on the lake. Lake and surrounding area in Southern VT was beautiful. Tiny home had everything needed to accommodate two adults and a dog. Great yard for the dog and a nice yard to relax in. Owner was responsive and helpful for any requests. Would recommend the spot for anyone looking to get away for a few days.
We had such a wonderful, relaxing stay at the tiny home. It has everything you need and is super clean and comfortable. We just wanted a few days in a different location to work remotely and enjoy the setting. The location is so lovely. Sitting on the small dock with a glass of wine listening to nature and looking at the glorious view was just what we wanted. Thank you Chris!
We absolutely loved our stay at the tiny house!! The house was just the right size and the backyard was cute and quiet. The fire pit was awesome, the view of the lake was beautiful. Chris was a super nice and responsive host. We went to his general store for breakfast and lunch and the food and service was awesome. We stopped By the tap room for a beer and to listen to the live music, it was a great time! Will definitely be returning!
We had such a great time in this tiny house. It was perfect for our needs. The breakfast and lunch provided were delicious. The General Store is also attached to Jax on Tap - a super fun tap house complete with an old school Skee-Ball game and pool table. The property was very private with a small dock to launch the kayak from. The hot tub was amazing and the bed was very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.
Perfect retreat from everything but without any extra work to acclimate. Chris, the owner has done an outstanding job of creating a creature comfort home with amenities that feel like home without whatever it was you needed to get away from in the first place. I am looking forward to that retreat again.
My partner and I had a wonderful stay in the tiny home! We did several hikes and took advantage of the kayaks & hammock. One of the highlights was a kayak ride at sunset. The views were stunning.
Also, the house was adorable and had everything we needed! I appreciated that shampoo and conditioner were provided. Not to mention, the ample cleaning supplies which made wrap up a breeze. The townies were so kind and we really enjoyed the food and hospitality at the general store.
We read all reviews before we booked and everything said was absolutely accurate. We had a perfect get-away, walking into a beautifully designed and appointed space. Chris is a super host, readily available and responsive to all question and offering fantastic advice on local offerings. Our days started with the best breakfast sandwich ever at his country store, the days ended with extraordinary sunsets and sitting in the hot tub looking at the endless stars. We brought our couch potato dog and she had the best time exploring the lakefront yard. It was sooo hard to leave this paradise. But, we are so grateful for this beautiful place.
Check-in was easy enough, make note of code before you get there because we didn’t have any wifi once we got in the area. The house has everything you need. There’s a binder with local info and info re the home. Every morning looking at the lake was the best part of our stay here, it really is gorgeous. We used the hot tub and took the kayaks out on the lake. Our pup loved all of the grass to run around on and the property was well kept. Location isn’t around a lot of businesses but within about 10-15 mins you can get to coffee and food…aside from the general store that is even closer to the home. We would book again!
My partner, my pet, and I spent Christmas week here and had a great time. The house is small but very cozy and well appointed and feels bigger than it is. The bed and couches are very comfortable, and the house gets plenty warm for cold winter weather. The location is a great starting point to explore Southern Vermont and Northern Massachusetts: whether you are skiing at Mount Snow, visiting Mass MOCA in North Adams, or getting dinner in Brattleboro or exploring any of the nearby villages, there's plenty to do within a 30-40 minute drive. The kitchen worked out surprisingly well for our Christmas dinner but I do wish I had brought a large chef's knife. We loved the peaceful location, the hot tub (with heated walkway!), and the electric fireplace. Would love to visit again in the summer and make use of the lake for fishing and kayaking.
Obsessed with this Tiny Home. It was GORGEOUS. The whole house was spotless. Out front, out back, the whole thing was immaculate. Saw some other reviews about the house being so small. It is a TINYHOME people! Perfect for my husband and I. Was super quiet and secluded. You felt safe and comfortable. Loved the fact that breakfast and lunch was included at their general store. Everyone who worked there was SO friendly and gave us no issues. Not to mention, the food is incredible! I keep telling my husband how badly I want to go back. Will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend!
We had 3 lovely nights at the Lakeside Tiny House and spent some wonderful time hiking in nearby state parks. The view of the lake is perfection and the house was just right for my husband and I. Highly recommend.
