Lake Jocassee retreat on two acres!! New hot tub, Devil’s Fork State Park
8/10 Good
"Everything was great but the heat thermostat. Woke up freezing as the house was 63 degrees. Managed to sort of get it to work. Set the thermostat on eco when we left. Beautiful house and we had a great stay."
"Everything was great! The house is clean and beautiful. Very welcoming. The host was friendly and a quick, helpful communicator. We would definitely come back! You can’t go wrong booking this house. "

"The house was very comfortable and warm in the rainy cold weather. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. All but one bedroom had a television, although we did not really use them. The location near Devils Fork state park is a perfect spot to enjoy the area’s amenities. "Reviewing this property is 2-fold: the home itself and Cope Property Management. It would be unfair to lump the 2 together. The home is beautiful, well built, warm and cozy, laid out for entertaining and being able to enjoy the outside breezes. Lots of doors with screens so you could let the morning/evening mountain air in, and it was lovely. You could not be in a better location; it took us no time at all to get to numerous state parks and to visit Cashiers, NC. The homeowners truly have a gem in this property.Let's count the ways Cope Property Management dropped the ball for these homeowners:1) No instructions for anything in the house - 3 remotes, hot tub controls, where things were in the house and on the property. (ironically the QR code on the fridge for the "Guest Book" linked to a completely different property)2) The pond they advertise being on the property was too overgrown to get to and enjoy3) It is beyond me how a cleaning crew could walk out of a basement that looked like it did and think they had completed their task in making it ready for guests4) Because of their negligence 2 of the ladies had to share a bed and 1 had to sleep on an uncomfortable daybed and had nowhere to put her clothes. It was embarrassing. Strangely, when I said that to Cope they were quick to say it was my fault for not letting them know that their cleaning crew had missed an entire living space. While we loved the home, I will actively avoid renting from Cope Property Mgnmt"
"The lake house was an incredible “home away from home” for our family! We were in the area for a nearby wedding and this venue provided the perfect home for our stay. With five spacious bedrooms, everyone had their own private space…and the beds were so comfortable! The kitchen had every amenity one might need which made for easy meal prep. The large family room with plenty of comfy seating provided the perfect spot to watch college football games during those moments when we took a break from the outdoors. The lakefront fun included several kayaks and even a peddle boat for tooling around the calm waters. And the large fire pit kept us nice and warm as the fall evenings cooled down. I think my favorite aspect was the peacefulness of sitting on the deck looking at the nighttime stars and listening to the sounds of nature around us. Above all, Sandra was such a gracious host! From the welcoming bottle of chilled Prosecco to the ease of checking in and out, Sandra was just a phone call away for anything we might have needed. It was such a wonderful long weekend and we can’t wait to come back and enjoy this Lakefront home again!"
