"The apartment was clean, easily accessible and beautifully furnished/equipped with everything you would need. We had a slight problem viewing chanels on the Smart TV's but I think that was done to us not being used to them more than anything else :)Lovely, lovely apartment, would highly recommend this apartment.Thank you"

"Beautiful cottage with a lot of space outside, a seating area by the stream, a great location near Millom and other Lake District locations, and a hot tub!
(Note: The hot tub use is an additional £40 flat fee, which was unmentioned on Hotel.com listing, but is on the official Sykes Cottage page)"

"This was a truly lovely place to stay with a helpful owner. The location was great located within walking distance of several hiking trailheads, the village shop, and several restaurants. It was comfortable, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed."

"This is a lovely property conveniently located on a hill overlooking Keswick and near the many attractions in and around Keswick. Our room was substantial with a comfortable bed and sitting area. Breakfast was tasty and varied, eagerly accommodating a special request. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Definitely recommend and would stay here again on a return visit."
"The hotel was basically ok, clean but slightly run down. We paid for an upgraded room which turned out to be over the bar and by the car park so we were disturbed late night and early morning. The main issue was the very rude manager. On arrival he was basically mocking someone in front of for not knowing how to use the heating in the room which wasn't actually working. Then the following day we ordered a takeaway to eat by the sea or in our room (as encouraged by the hotel). While waiting for delivery we got drinks from the bar. The takeaway arrived, we collected it from the driver outside. We returned to finish our drinks and before we sat down the same manager shouted across the room "You can't eat that in here" in front of everyone. We hadn't attempted to open the food, we weren't going to eat it there and as it turned out we were allowed to eat it there if we had! We won't be returning if that is how the management think it's ok to treat customers. £200 for a noisy room and a rude manager. To be fair, all other staff members were helpful and friendly."
"Lovely stay, excellent staff , pleasant and helpful. Food excellent good sized portions at breakfast and dinner. So good to go into a traditional bar with a variety of cask ales. Highly recommend"
"I have stayed in many B&B’s in Keswick and having just spent two nights at The Edwardene for the first time, this is now my favourite. We stayed in a twin room called ‘The Osprey’ and needed a very late check in, which was no hassle to the owners who made sure we had everything we needed. The room was clean, bright, well furnished and had a lovely view of the mountains. The toiletries provided are locally made and were top quality. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate were also provided with delicious Border Biscuits. I had Eggs Royale for breakfast and it was the best one I have ever had. I can also highly recommend the full English. The whole property from the outside to inside is exceptionally kept. It is just a 5 minute walk into the centre so is also a great place to stay location wise. Was able to easily park on a near by street. The whole experience was excellent value for money. Do not hesitate to book this charming bed and breakfast which is run by exceptional hosts. We will most definitely be back!"
"This is a lovely hotel, just in need of some TLC. My advice would be to not stay in room 23 - it was in a very odd place in the hotel, dark and under staff accommodation and they were very noisy. Not a lot of sleep was had. Apart from that, the hotel was great. Food was ok, coffee machine made great coffee. Best thing was the staff - they were lovely. Made us feel so welcome. Would stay here again in one of the main house rooms on the first floor."
"Clean room, helpful staff and a nice breakfast selection.
Slightly understaffed at times, but Liam saved the day.
A nice guest lounge but not large enough for the guests wishing to enjoy an after dinner drink, chat or the garden view. And the bar is poorly positioned next to the kitchen and the far end of the dining/breakfast room."
