Welcome to our Mountain Lake Getaway

Nestled in the Little Belt Mountains of Montana, you will find the PERFECT getaway! Our 20 acre private property is located at 51 Sunset View Road. Spectacular views await you as you enjoy the surroundings of the Big Belt, Castle, and Little Belt Mountain Ranges.

We are 8.7 miles north of White Sulphur Springs and a mere 2 miles from Newlan Creek Reservoir and 17 miles from Showdown Ski Hill. Nature abounds in this area and it is commonplace to see elk, deer, moose and antelope roaming the hillsides.

Our 1,000 square foot home is clean, cozy and comfortable. A perfect place to hang your hat! The cabin features a large great room, joined full kitchen and living space, bathroom with shower and 2 bedrooms (sleeping 6), comfortably.

A 16 x 20 ft exterior deck provides a magical outdoor space. Be prepared to enjoy the Montana outdoors while…. hunting, fishing, boating, hiking, skiing, and snowmobiling. Or simply RELAX from sunrise to sunset.!! You are sure to enjoy this peaceful Mountain Lake Getaway!

Purpose of stay was to fish and bird hunt. Property location and view were amazing. First time visiting White Sulphur Springs. Great town. Wi-Fi was available but computer usage was severely compromised. I would most definitely recommend this property to friends.

We loved the property. Such an amazing view and very private. We went skiing at Showdown and had multiple dinners in White Sulpher so the cabin was a perfect spot. The host was also very nice. Would definitely go back!

Tucked away cabin with great views

Our little family had a wonderful stay! Location was great - 10 or so minutes from WSS, 20 ish minutes to Showdown. This property had everything we needed. Shaun was a wonderful communicator and very welcoming. We will be back!

Family Trip

First time in Montana. Beautiful view. Jody was super helpful. The place had everything we needed, a short drive to the town for some groceries. We traveled all around for the national parks and different activities and enjoyed coming back every evening to a place that felt very homey.

Wonderful getaway!

We had a great little ski weekend getaway. The property accommodated our needs perfectly and the hosts were great communicators and incredibly responsive. We spent most of our time at showdown and one evening in WSS for dinner. Location was ideal. We definitely plan to come back again. Thank you, Shaun!!

The most amazing views!

We just needed a quick one night stay while our friends were in town skiing. The rooms and beds were comfortable and the amenities provided were perfect. The only downside was we were not able to use the wood burning stove, but it didn’t hamper our stay or experience. Would definitely stay here again in the summer to take advantage of the area and hiking.

Snowboarding at Showdown

It's a beautiful place in the mountains set at the top of a steep driveway overlooking a tree-filled valley and an excellent fishing pond. The Reichenbachs were so wonderful in their communication, hospitality, and kindness! We stayed one night and had a fantastic time building puzzles and playing games before heading to Showdown in the morning. Next time we'll have to explore the trails and fishing.

Mid July 2024 Stay

I booked this rental as a halfway spot between Glacier NP and Bozeman flying home from Bozeman the next day. Was in a good location for a halfway point that was in the mountains and not in a boring hotel in Helena for example. Future visitors should be aware that 1) there is no Verizon cell service in the immediate vicinity of the rental and 2) the address in the VRBO confirmation are not correct. Had I known this, our arrival would have gone much smoother and I would have tried to print everything in advance. We had to drive into town to get cell service and contact the owner for specific directions to the rental. I discovered later that the owner did send specific directions including the correct address about 8 weeks prior to our arrival. Mysteriously these instructions were not resent with the rental usual reminders from VRBO a day or two before our arrival. The owner was very responsive and even called to make sure we could find the rental within 5 minutes of my distress message looking for directions. The rental itself was excellent and matched the listing description! I learned some valuable lessons on my trip in general and will print driving directions and addresses for all VRBOs before I leave from now on. That way I can just write in the access code on the print out and not have to rely on finding a specific email on my phone. I fault VRBO and/or the owner for not having the correct address in their listing which is really inexcusable in my opinion.

We used the cabin as our basecamp for elk hunting. Excellent location for access to the Little Belt mountains. Comfortably accommodated four hunters plus gear. Would highly recommend to anyone planning a trip!
