Chesapeake Bay Beachfront Retreat

Get away from it all on Henry's Island, offering alluring privacy and breathtaking views of the Chesapeake Bay. Enjoy the 5-acre Bay-front home whose private sandy beach includes unique Northern Neck sand dunes. Swim, crab, fish, or use provided canoe, kayak, or paddle board to explore the water. Relax on lounge chairs with a frosty drink (margarita machine included). Take in the Bay breeze while reading a book or sleeping on the beach. The open floor plan and 9 ft. ceilings provide a spectacular view to watch bald eagles, osprey, and heron without leaving the beautifully furnished house. Dine inside overlooking the Bay or eat outside on the patio set after using the gas grill. Three king bedrooms (including two master suites), a bunk room, and a separate playroom make it comfortable and fun for adults and kids alike.


Something for Everyone: Tour one of historic Northern Neck's 19 museums, golf, or sip Virginia's finest wines on the Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail. Sail, shop or dine in award-winning restaurants nearby. Enjoy an easy drive to historic Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, and Water Country USA.

Chesapeake Bay Beachfront Retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It is a lovely home with beautiful views and ample space for a large group. The house was clean and well stocked with necessities. The property manager was flexible and responsive. We loved the beach and had great fun swimming, kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding. We are big fans of the northern neck area and nearby Irvington, White Stone and Kilmarnock for their restaurants, shops and events. We highly recommend this home for a family vacation!

The perfect place for us

This was the second year in a row we have stayed here, and we absolutely loved it! The house was clean and smelled so fresh when we arrived, and the location is so beautiful. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, and the fishing was fantastic. Diane is a wonderful host, and we hope to stay here again in the future!

Relaxing by the water

Amazing location!

We had three generations… grandparents , two grown kids and their spouses, and kids ranging from 10 months to 12 years. The location can’t be beat. The water is calm, private sandy beach, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, spacious kitchen, gas BBQ. We all loved it!

Great for families and friends

We had a wonderful stay! The location of the property is private and there is plenty to do for everyone of all ages. The fishing and crabbing kept everyone entertained. Highly recommended for unplugging and having time together!

Relaxing weekend getaway

Perfect weekend getaway for our family! The views were spectacular and the water was lovely. With young kids, I especially loved how shallow the water was all the way out to the rock barriers. We even saw 2 pods of dolphins our last morning there. Highly recommend this house!

We keep coming back! Great location. Nothing fancy but good size for 6 adults and 3 small children. Lovely stretch of beach. To be honest cleaning staff could be better but overall we love it here.

Great getaway, wonderful home

Love our stay here. We came for an impromptu trip and the owner was very attentive and the house is very well stocked with supplies. Our 5 and 8 year old enjoyed the kayak, paddle board, and Canoe. The location is perfect. Your own little private beach and the house is wonderful. Pet friendly too! We hope to come back!

Relaxing and beautiful

We thoroughly enjoyed our week, from relaxing on the porch watching the Dolphins, other wildlife and the ships go by to swimming, canoeing, and sitting on the beach. House was beautiful and comfortable and nearby towns nice to visit. Only problem was the week went by too fast.

A Wonderful Family Getaway — Already Booked for Next Year!We’ve been coming to this area for 25 years, and with our growing family, we were thrilled to find a home that could comfortably accommodate us, our daughter and son-in-law, and our granddaughter — with a second granddaughter on the way!This house was everything we hoped for and more. The beach access is perfect for young children, with calm, shallow water that feels safe and relaxing. Inside, the home is spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the living room has plenty of seating for everyone. The kitchen is well-stocked with plenty of plates and silverware, and the internet worked great throughout our stay. We also loved the outdoor seating and the extra touches like the canoe and paddle board! The home and setting are even more beautiful and welcoming in person.We were also so impressed to see that past guest suggestions (like adding bedside tables, a dresser in the bunk room, and additional outdoor seating) have already been addressed. It really shows how considerate and responsive the owners are to their renters, which made us feel even more at home.A few small suggestions that would make the stay even more enjoyable:•The outdoor shower didn’t drain, which made it difficult to use.•lamps on the bedside tables would have been nice and there were multiple light bulbs out throughout the house.Definitely not negative comments but ideas to make a great home better. Beautiful house, peaceful location

We spent a week in August at this beautiful waterfront home. The indoor space was fantastic, comfortably accommodating our group (a few adult couples and kids). The location is quiet and private, with only the neighbors to the left visible from the house. The beach and water were very pleasant. Highly recommended.
