"Booked online through Expedia. There were some additional fees that had to be paid at the hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our 2 night stay and recommend this hotel to others in the area. It’s a newly renovated hotel. We were grateful to find street parking right outside and its free parking after 6 pm until 8 am. Then you either pay through the app or a parking pass with the hotel. The staff were very kind and helpful. I really enjoyed the hot pool and sauna - that makes the hotel worth it! I appreciate the lobby area where I took my calls (needs more outlets). No refrigerator in room but there seems to be a communal one in the basement. Called and asked to place our food items in there. We stayed in the tiny queen room which was just enough space for us two since we were hiking all day! Unfortunately, no free breakfast but there was free coffee and water. We went to eat breakfast at River Daze Cafe across the street. Unfortunately the Mediterranean restaurant advertised online isn’t even open, the front desk person said that they are still seeking employees. Overall, would recommend and appreciate how close it is to the hikes!"

"Room was very reasonably priced and clean. We have stayed here twice and we love the buildings location and old charm! That being said, my only real complaint is that they need some type of air conditioning…it is listed on their website but that is not true at all. We have visited in October and April, both cooler months at night, but even with the cooler night temperatures, the rooms were terribly hot. The first room we stayed in the window wouldn’t open at all. The second room the windows did open but no screens and bugs were flying in…they do provide fans but I guess I just prefer to sleep a little cooler. "

"Location is excellent - walkable to White River (1/2 block) and a quick drive to Hood River (10 min) or hiking (10 min), and street parking is easy (helpful because there's no driveway.) The house is spacious, with 4 real bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and the living room has 2 couches that comfortably seat 4-5 adults. It has heat and AC in all main rooms. I will say that the house is very comfortable, it is a little roughly renovated, and if you're hoping for a very cute getaway this may not be it. It can feel quite dark inside because 1) it is very close to the hotel building (as in, certain rooms look directly into the hotel corridor!) and 2) the curtains they've chosen are dark and some don't open, so it is truly dark! We were hoping to use the hot tub, but did not understand that it is actually next to the house in a way that means you need to walk out the front door and around a corner, and if you're sitting in it people in the hotel or driving by can see you - so we did not end up using it. Book this place for location, cleanliness, and space and you won't be disappointed. I thought for the price this was a great value."
