10/10 Excellent

"This was our second stay and won’t be our last. Welcoming staff, beautiful grounds, pool, hot tub; and my favorites, waffles and all day coffee!!! Brought the dog this time, he loved it too. Pet friendly but you’d never know there was a dog there before you. Very clean. Every member of the staff spoke to or greeted us every time we saw them. Very professional. We’ll be back again, hopefully soon."

"Photos seem like they were taken a decade ago. Decent property, but it’s showing its age and wear. AC in room didn’t work, was essentially a fan, main room worked extra hard to keep place cool. Random light switches that took a while to sort out. Great location, property still has promise, just needs some care. Parking was the fantastic. Covered lot with easy access for guests. A minute walk to the beachfront."

"I chose this hotel after reading reviews, so I felt it was important to leave my own feedback. I really appreciate a clean space, and I was very impressed with how spotless the room was—it made our stay that much more enjoyable. The beds were absolutely amazing—so comfortable it felt like your body just melted into them. This was honestly the best sleep I’ve gotten in a while. I wanted to take the pillows home with me! The staff was also very friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. The only area that could use improvement is the walkway to the beach. The sand was actually higher than the rails in some places, which made it difficult to walk through—especially with a bad knee. It seems like it could be a challenge for others as well, and I’m not sure how someone with mobility issues or in a wheelchair would access the beach. It feels like there should be a better way to keep that path clear. Aside from that, the weather was beautiful, and it turned out to be the perfect girls’ getaway weekend. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!"

"I was very disappointed with our stay. The hotel looked nothing like the photos advertised online. Upon arrival, the property felt dated, unclean, and had a stale, musty odor throughout. Our room was not well-maintained. The sheets didn’t even fit the bed properly, which immediately gave the impression that cleanliness and attention to detail were lacking. When we turned on the heat, the smell coming from the air conditioning unit was awful and strongly resembled urine. To make matters worse, the entire building was undergoing construction, something guests should be informed of before booking. The elevator was also out of service for an entire day, creating a major inconvenience. The pool area was disappointing as well. There were fire ants around the pool, and I ended up with multiple bites on my feet. The one positive aspect of this hotel is its location, which was convenient and close to everything we needed. However, with other options available nearby, I would strongly recommend choosing one of those instead. Unfortunately, this stay did not live up to the price, the photos, or the expectations set by the listing."

"We visited our favorite island, Jekyll Island Ga. For a quick getaway , June 6-8, staying at the “Best Western Plus Jekyll island. This once magnificent hotel is ragged around the edges but very functional, our room was clean, with an excellent AC “split” that cooled and kept humidity down. Rug was older than it should have been, couch is way to old and soft, bathroom are in good working order, ample closet dressing room. The property itself is what brings my opinion lower than it should be, cracked broken cement walkways, heavily painted doors and walls, the breakfast room was small but tidy, the breakfast was horrible! Serving a factory cooked cheese omelette that was tasteless, alongside charred, over microwaved sausage patties that tasted like something it shouldn't have was the last straw. Only good thing in breakfast room was the coffee. I just don’t understand why hotel proprietors think that this type of warmed over food is acceptable? The kitchen consisted of a microwave and a refrigerator/freezer. Would i stay again? Id try real hard not too. Staff at front desk was without help, so anything you needed required standing in line for 10-15 minutes while he worked out what the customer needed. We love Jekyll Island and have been back frequently, just not staying here…"
