"Staff are excellent, rooms comfy and clean, fridge and microwave in each room. We hv stayed here a number of times, and hv always had a positive experience. The prices in the little store for water, snacks, etc., are cheaper than what you'd pay at a regular store! We will be back again!"
"This was a great hotel to stay in. It’s located near lots of restaurants and easy access to highways. I will definitely stay again. It’s very quiet. The only issue I had was parking up front from the construction workers that stayed there taking those spots."
"Property was historic and interesting. Beautiful backyard seating area with tall trees. Grab and go breakfast was sufficient. Great location. Friendly hosts.
Parking area was distant from the house over uneven ground with insufficient lighting. Also, there were not enough parking spaces for the number of guests. We had to park on a public street 2 blocks away. While the interior of the historic house was well done, it was a bit cramped and the room itself was somewhat claustrophobic. There were three floors and no elevator. the stairways to the upper floors were quite steep and very narrow. In summary, we felt that this property was not suitable for anyone with limited mobility and there should be some mention of this either by the reservation taker or the marketing materials for the property."
"Room smelled of mold. Shade on the window was torn and falling down. In the bathroom the toilet was broken and very dirty. The tub was very dirty as well. The towel racks were broken off, and there were no towels or wash cloths. No trash can. All in all, the room was dirty. I went back to the lobby and told them that I couldn’t stay in such a place and demanded a refund of the money I had paid. They said hat they would agree to a refund, but because I had used Expedia to book the room I would have to contact them for a refund. I did so that evening, and Expedia said that they would have to have the approval of the hotel before they could issue a refund. They said that they had contacted the hotel, and that the hotel would not agree to the refund, a direct contradiction to what I had been told by the people at the the hotel. I strongly recommend that no one should book a room at this hotel, and I strongly recommend that you avoid using Expedia. Neither the hotel or Expedia acted with honor."
