The Hotel Schweizerhof in Bern is an iconic hotel right in the centre of Bern, within easy walking distance of the train station, shops and restaurants. We utilised the valet parking service to park our hire car and asked for the car to be ready the next day at 10am. The room was spacious and quiet which was surprising given the hotel is located direct opposite the busy train station and bus/tram stop. The beds were comfortable and bed linen and towels crispy white.

Centrally located, this was a well-appointed, comfortable hotel which exceeded our expectations. It’s only shortcoming was most of the branding was “Hotel Bern” rather than Best Western. Once we worked that out, everything went smoothly. It was a great spot to base ourselves for exploring Bern.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! We had such an amazing stay. Wish we stayed longer than 1 night! Our room was on the corner of top floor and had so much space and light. Great views. The metro/tram was literally across the road. So many restaurants in the area. The lady who checked us in was lovely. Highly recommend 5/5
