The lower level offers additional sleeping accommodations with an open sleeping area featuring two twin beds. Just beyond the open area is a private bedroom with a queen-size bed that can be closed off for added privacy. A second full bathroom and a washer and dryer are also located on this level. Ideally located for exploring Yellowstone National Park, enjoying year-round outdoor recreation, and taking advantage of more affordable lodging options for a day of skiing at Big Sky Resort.

    Just approximately ½ mile from downtown, you'll have easy access to West Entrance, local restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, shopping, outdoor outfitters, and family-friendly attractions. From the West Entrance, follow the scenic Madison River toward Madison Junction and discover some of Yellowstone's most iconic landscapes, geothermal features, and wildlife-viewing areas. Spend the day exploring, return to town for dinner and shopping, or plan a winter day trip to Big Sky—all from one convenient location.

    -Air Conditioning: The home does not have central A/C. Fans and the natural mountain breeze help keep the lodge comfortable, even in July and August, nighttime temperatures can cool to around 50°F. Outside of the warmest summer months, evening temperatures are often in the 40s or below. We recommend opening the windows in the evening to enjoy the cool mountain air, then closing the windows and lowering the shades during the day to help keep the lodge naturally cool and comfortable.

    Yellowstone National Park Operating Dates

    The West Entrance to Yellowstone National Park operates seasonally. The summer season typically runs from the 3rd Saturday in April through November 1st. The entrance closes for the fall shoulder season and typically reopens in mid-December for the winter oversnow travel season, which runs through mid-March. After the winter oversnow season ends, the West Entrance remains closed until the summer season begins in April.
