We were so impressed with the house! Clean, the kitchen was stocked with what we needed, there were games, laundry. The beach and campground were great and right there. We loved it, thanks!
Really great home with a spectacular view of the sunrise over the lake. Close to campus and anything needed in Terre Haute with the peace and quiet of far away.
We enjoyed our stay. It was as described. We enjoyed playing pool and some board games. Only downside is there are no apps on the tv in the front bedroom. But that’s really a big deal. We would stay here again.
This was for a last minute before we go back to school vacation.
Absolutely perfect dream spot for us. swimming, kayaking, everything at your finger tips!! perfect balance of nature/adventure in a safe, controlled environment.
Staff at the camp grounds was awesome and helpful. you could easily get firewood and ice right there which was really nice option. Games in the house perfect for kids!
As noted in another review, plan for kitchen like camping - all the pots and whatnot are great, but bring your own paper towels, shampoos etc. House towels provided but definitely bring your own beach towels. All very reasonable - just good to know for planning.
Loved it - we will be back!!
We had a great stay! We hosted a birthday party and really enjoyed the property over a long weekend. The only downfall that has stuck with me is that it states in the rental description that the property sleeps up to 10 but in the small print there is an additional fee per person above four people. This led us to rent a camper space to fit additional people in since it was cheaper than the additional per person cost.
The floats we run for the kids as well but once again we were a little disappointed that the cost of the rental did not include some “tickets” for the floats.
We live local and will return to camp there but it’s not worth the cost of the lake house for us.
I picked this spot as a hangout for my 15 year old son and several of his friends (my 9-year old daughter and I were also there). There were so many things to keep them entertained!
Inside the house, they enjoyed the pool table, the arcade games, and the smart tv. The boys brought their video games, and there was plenty of room for them to gather on the couch as well as several gaming chairs. All of this was in a common area, so even when doing different activities, they were together.
The lake is just steps from the door. The boys took advantage of the 4 kayaks and life jackets that are available as part of the rental. I needed a few extra, and there is a rental office directly across the street with very affordable rates. A fire pit and outdoor seating is also available.
The amenities were great for us. The beds were both comfortable, and there were plenty of places to sleep including a futon, air mattress (it did lose air throughout the night, but worked out well enough for two boys), and the couch. Showers were nice, hot water was plentiful. A good amount of towels and washcloths. Small soaps and shampoos were available. The kitchen accessories were awesome-an air fryer, a waffle maker, a toaster oven, coffee maker, 2 microwaves, and toaster. Plenty of dishes.
The following are things that were fine, but others may want to know. Bring trash bags and paper towels. No dishwasher. Bottom basement door does not deadbolt.
Be ready for fun at this home!!
