Summary:
This magnificent, authentic private villa has some of the best views on the Mani Peninsula. As you approach Villa Leonidas, you will walk through the gate and along the hand cut stone courtyard and become mesmerized by the castle like archways and beautiful masonry. Two custom gazebos are situated on either end of the pool where you can rest, relax and unwind while facing the Sea. This stunning outdoor patio is completed with porcelain tile and hand cut stone decking.
The Space:
There is one bedroom on the main floor with a toilette, along with the living room, kitchen, two eating areas, bathroom with shower and washer/ dryer. Help yourself to the fully stocked kitchen.
Upstairs you will find the master bedroom with a living area and two terraces, a bathroom with a walk-in shower, a separate terrace with an eating area and the third bedroom with a window overlooking the sea.
Help yourself to the ripe fruit on the trees. Enjoy playing games in the living room, watching a movie on the DVD player or streaming Netflix. The house receives a lot of sunshine so open the shutters and enjoy the view.
The guesthouse-
As you enter the guest house, you will see the kitchen, living room, bathroom with shower and first bedroom on the main floor. Upstairs is the master bedroom with another beautiful terrace.
Guest Access:
The Village of Karamyli is just about 5 minutes via car . You can enjoy a fresh cup of coffee at the café or try traditional Greek pastries next door. Capel supermarket and a number of a very good restaurants. Take a walk towards the water along the road besides the square/ park. The view is amazing and includes multiple photo opportunities.
Should you need an ATM, there are a few in the village just past the café straight ahead on the left.
About 20min via car is the village of Stupa. Visit the local supermarket for kitchen needs or head to Katerina’s Market where you can find everything from: food, fresh produce, alcohol, meats and cheeses, snacks, electronics, towels and cooking gadgets.
Along the way, observe the mountain range and take a car ride up the mountain (turn left by the sign reading Archeological site) and continue your drive up. The overlook is amazing. As you drive, the Olive trees besides you and quaint town take you back in time.
The Neighborhood:
Majestically located on a hill overlooking the Mani Peninsula Villa Leonidas has some of the best views in Kardamili, West Mani, Greece. The architecture of Villa Leonidas makes for outstanding views adding for a picturesque vacation.
As you watch the sunset over the Sea, from the balcony, pool or in one of the numerous seating arrangements in the garden, you’ll find yourself gazing in the distance. You are in paradise.

Getting Around:

Kardamili village is only 3.5km away as West Mani is about a 5 minute drive from your private oasis. We encourage you to tour the village and try some local cuisine, shop at a fresh market and drive to neighboring towns to become fully immersed in Greek culture. The village hosts many quaint shops, cafes, restaurants, the beach, 3 grocery stores and a well stocked hardware store/mercantile. The city of Kalamata which is located about 12 km or a 20 minute drive by car can aid with needs not met by the local business.
Transportation
You will be able to park your vehicle outside the entrance gate to the house or on the street, whichever you prefer. Please note that it is recommended to have a rental car if arriving from Athens International Airport as the villa is shortly over 3 hours away. There is an airport in Kalamata which we encourage travelers to fly into as this is only about 25 minutes from Villa Leonardis.
Other Things to Note:
If you need a break from the village and are interested in shopping, head to the public square in Kalamata. The restaurant Bordeau is very good with excellent cocktails, Mediterranean food and lovely atmosphere. Around this square are jewelry shops, clothing stores, ATMs and ice cream. If you’re looking for on-the-go snacks, walk through the alleys and enjoy everything Kalamata has to offer.
