  • Newly renovated bathroom!

    This cabin is perfect for families with kids. There are 2 bedrooms with a sleeping loft for kids. The cabin has a dining area, living area, an outside deck with a great view of Lake 5.

    You can enjoy time on Lake 5 with your private beach and dock. Bring your boat and enjoy some time on the lake!

    If you are an avid hiker or sight seer Glacier National Park is a quick 5 minute drive away. Head into Glacier and take a drive over Going-to-the-Sun highway and catch a few hikes during your stay. After your day in Glacier, come back to our cozy cabin and jump in the lake for a swim, while you have some food on the BBQ.

    Note: This cabin is in the forest. You will have some insects (gnats, mosquitoes, flies, and spiders) at anytime throughout the year. There will be wild animals such as but not limited to bats, deer, gophers, elk, bears, and other animals around the cabin as well. Please be aware of these and prepare accordingly.

A quaint, well-stocked, clean, and comfortable cabin in an unforgettable view and location. The lake and the dock are a few steps away…don’t forget to sunbathe on the dock and soak in the scenery…oh and if you’re up for it, take a dip in the lake (it’s spring-fed, so not too too cold). Ryan is super helpful and responsive. Cabin is ~30 mins (depending on traffic) from the West Glacier entrance. FYI, there are two full bedrooms and extra beds in the loft (not clear from the pics). We loved our stay here…and hope to be back!

Wonderful and charming property in a private residential neighborhood. Beautiful lakeside view from the kitchen, living room and back patio. I loved sitting on the private dock at the end of the day and just looking out on the lake and mountains. Fully equipped kitchen made it easy to cook all our breakfasts and dinners here. Full capacity clothes washer and dryer were super convenient. Very effective heat and A/C kept the temperature comfortable. Less than a 10 minute drive to entrance of Glacier National Park helped us get to the trailheads early. Super easy check in and check out. Responsive host who reached out on our first day via text to make sure everything was okay. It truly felt like a home away from home. Such a quiet and peaceful place. I didn't want to leave. I have wanted to visit Glacier for a long time and I am very happy we stayed here for our vacation.

Excellent place to stay to visit Glacier and also get to enjoy Lake Five! Be sure to ask the owner about renting stand up paddle boards, they got delivered straight to the cabin and we loved using them daily off the private dock and beach. Having those made the stay exceptional!

West Glacier Lake Cabin

Great location to stay and visit Glacier National Park. Location on Lake 5 is a real bonus, nice sunsets on the lake after hiking all day. AC is a nice bonus for the surprisingly warm MT summer!

Great views and location

We loved the view of Lake 5. Boys caught a few small fish but had a great time on the dock. Cabin is just as described and perfect for my family of 5. Location to the park couldn't be any better.

Lake view

The cabin is in a great spot outside of Glacier NP. It has a great view of a lake with some mountains in the back. Just the two of us on this trip but would be good for a small family.

Nice property located only a few miles to west entrance of park. View from cabin as pictured in add, very nice. Cabin fairly clean. Roomy. Overall very nice. Only negative for me was no closets or drawers to unpack into.

Cabin On The Lake

Our family of 5 had everything we needed at this little place including a beautiful view! It has to be one of the closest places you can rent and be outside of the park. Just a few minute drive to the west entrance but also close to several restaurants nearby. We cooked breakfasts there each morning and had plenty of pots and pans to do so. When I had a question about check out (which was the easiest of any place I’ve ever stayed), the reply was very quick. We’d definitely stay here again!

GNP Lake Cabin

The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The property was in a very beautiful location; we really enjoyed sitting on the deck and going down to the water. Our only troubles were that sharing 1 bathroom wasn't the best for all our adults, as well as not having much room for our baggage in our bedrooms. But that's it! You'll love it here if you are looking for a nice simple beautiful spot right near the park entrance.

Perfect location for a Glacier trip

I feel like the description and pictures undersell this place a bit. We were a bit hesitant booking, but the reviews sold it and it was an excellent place. It's so close to the west entrance to the park - you couldn't ask for much better. And Lake Five is fantastic. We swam everyday after coming home from hiking. We had our family of 5 plus a friend staying and the 1 bathroom wasn't really an issue ever. The cabin is well stocked with towels, dishsoap, paper towels, and bear spray, which was nice that we didn't have to buy any. Overall, just a really great place.

Serene Spot

We had a lovely, very peaceful, stay at this cabin on Lake Five. We hadn't ever been to Lake Five and this was the perfect spot for a getaway. Smoky sunsets, bald eagles, osprey, loons, a friendly duck, and lots of quiet time. We wanted an easy access to the park spot and we found it here. Although, being at this cabin made us not want to go into the park. I think we all would've been happy to just lay low for our entire visit. There were four of us - myself and my husband and our two teenage sons. And, there would've been plenty of space for more guests. The porch with picnic table was the perfect spot for coffee and every meal. And, the driveway had a big flat space for yard games. And, we spent a lot of time on the beach and dock. That access is definitely a bonus! I recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful MT getaway.

Location to Glacier while directly on the water of Lake 5 - Awesome! Yes, it's rustic but has everything you need. Our two teens slept in the loft (4 twin beds) and we stayed in one of the 2 bedrooms. Luggage in the other bedroom as space is limited in the BR's. However, more than enough room for our family of 4. Pullout couch if you need it. Private beach/dock was major bonus. Bring wood for outdoor fire pit or wood stove. Loons calling on the lake in the evening was the icing on the cake. Going to the Sun road wasn't completely open June 14 to 17 so we hiked to Avalanche Lake one day (well worth it and easy). We drove around to East Glacier the next day and hiked to Mary Falls (easy) and explored Lake Mary then drove to Waterton Lakes N.P. in Canada. 2.5 hr drive back to cabin but worth it.

We had an amazing stay at “The Loft”. It’s a perfect location for all things Glacier National. But, we actually enjoyed Lake Five and the local food even more. If staying here, I highly recommend the trip to Home Ranch Bottoms for food and the experience.

Location Location

This cabin is definitely rustic, but the location couldn’t be better for exploring Glacier National Park. The lake is beautiful, and my kids loved spending time on the small beach and dock. It was the perfect spot to relax with a cold beer after a long day of hiking. The loft was a hit with the kids, and the owners were fantastic—when the coffee pot broke, they had a brand new Keurig delivered the very next day. We’d absolutely stay here again!

Great location

This property is in an excellent location. Older property, partially updated. Sleeps many people, but only one bathroom and no dishwasher or kitchen towels. Beautiful lake out back and comfortable to come back to after visiting the area. Beds were all comfortable too.
