Really enjoyed my stay in West Danville at a beautiful cabin with a nice open kitchen and dining area. Loved the large deck and the peaceful location for a few days around the July 4th holiday. At night, the porch was great for stargazing and it was amazing to see lots of fire flies.Easy check in/out and had everything I needed for a carefree stay.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was convenient and the property was very nicely done and kept up. We appreciated all the amenities provided from toiletries to puzzles for our daughter. It was great that it was dog friendly as well. We would definitely stay again!
We had a wonderful extended weekend stay while we were up in the area for our annual family reunion! The cabin was so clean and cozy, and our dog was even quite comfortable staying in a strange place! Wish we had more time to stay and enjoy it! We will definitely revisit in the future and have already recommended the cabin to other family members!
The cabin is beautiful, cozy and well equipped with everything you’ll need for your getaway. The kids were never bored and really enjoyed hanging out in the loft, since there was a ton of snow outside. There’s a beautiful little town under 30mins away! We fully recommend this home for an any-season vacation.
This beautiful house was perfect for our stay. A great centralized location to Stowe, Waterbury, Burlington, Montpelier and other small towns. Shiela was great and answered any questions we had. The house was extremely clean. We will book again!!!
My fiance and I had a great weekend get away to remote Vermont. There was plenty of snow in the yard for our dog to run around in, she had so much fun!! With nearby St. Johnsbury we had no trouble finding activities to do and delicious restaurants to enjoy. Loved the relaxing vibe this cabin gave!
The cabin is just as gorgeous in person as it is on line. Hotels are expensive and it is no nice to have all the accommodations of a house. This was VERY comfortable!
We chose this property for our honeymoon because we love the area and the property allows pets. We brought our 8 month old puppy and he absolutely loved jumping in the snow! The home was clean, quiet and comfortable. We had a very relaxing week which is just what we were looking for!
My friend and I stayed here with my Lab and her Golden. It was everything we hoped it would be. The house was perfect and the gated porch was great for our dogs. We had lots of room to walk them and we were close to Dog Mountain. Sheila was a great host. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.
From the fresh cut flowers on the back porch to the wonderful homey ambience inside, this place is truly a home away from home. Beautiful scenery outdoors, and comfy and cozy inside. The front deck was beautifully decorated with fall mums, and inside various plants, basking in the sun make this cabin come alive. The host was a delight to communicate with, and available every time we had a question or need. We are already planning our trip back.
We stayed during the Perseides meteor shower and the view from the wrap around porch did not disappoint. Sheila was a very responsive and kind host; she lives on the ground level of the property. The entire yard was available to my family and the kids had a great time playing hide and seek. The main level worked out so nicely to cook and watch the kids. It was great that the kids had their own space in the loft with a bathroom. We felt very at home and will be staying again!
We had an excellent quaint weekend away for our anniversary. Sheila was amazing even whilst getting snowed in with over a foot of snow, we still had our driveway plowed daily. We loved the sense of getting away yet not being too far from anything. The view was amazing and the privacy as well. We loved being able to use our smoker all day. No matter how cold it was outside it was warm and cozy with perfect access to tv, movies, wifi etc. We look forward to staying here again in the summer or fall!
My family really enjoyed staying at this cabin. We felt very welcomed and comfortable. For a family of 5, it was so much better than staying at a hotel because of the space and privacy. It was so nice to be able to make our own meals when we wanted with the use of a full kitchen. Being able to do some laundry without worrying about other hotel guests is awesome. We loved the comfy recliners and sofas, the decor was great, the natural light coming in through the windows was plentiful during the mornings and early evenings when we weren't out and about exploring the area and we definitely slept better than if we had to be at a hotel. We all felt we could relax more completely. Sheila was terrific in answering back with questions we had. With this being our first trip to Vermont, and this beautiful cabin was instantly liked from the moment we saw it online. My family wants to come to this cabin again if we have the opportunity.
This cabin is also close to a number of sugarhouses and we made sure to buy a few jugs of maple syrup from the one just down the road from the cabin, as well as some other craft items and souvenirs. The only downside to the trip was the 7" or more of rain from the remnants of hurricane Beryl that passed through the first night, but we were safe and protected in the cabin during that.
Overall, it was fantastic!
The cabin was lovely and Sheila is very responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful time and definitely recommend this cabin for people looking to visit the Northeast Kingdom.
It was a lovely home to relax in during the evenings. It was a cozy space with plenty of blankets to cuddle up with. We didn't get much time outside due to the weather but appreciated the area. Close enough to drive to town but removed enough to feel undisturbed.
Great host personality. Smell of layers of baked on bacon grease in the oven was always noticeable. Otherwise clean. In a very cold, snowy December, the programmed radiant heat could not keep up. A shovel was available for us. When we contacted host, she always was apologetic.
Me and my Golden Retriever had an enjoyable stay at this cozy cabin. The property owner was very responsive and accommodating. I do plan to return in the future.
