"This is a lovely place to stay. Kathrin the owner very friendly and helpful, her English is excellent. The hotel is beautifully decorated and you can buy toiletries, snacks and drinks. Comfy bed, nice pillows, decent WiFi. Shower took a while to warm up but was excellent when it did. Effective and easy to adjust heating. The breakfast buffet is superb. Theres no lift but there are some ground floor rooms and at worst you have to go up 2 flights of stairs. The hotel is on a quiet street but...

"Should have been told it was not a hotel. Difficult to check in. Did not receive how to get Key to room instructions before I arrived or instructions on how to check out. Room had a kitchen but no silverware/utensils. I got to the address and wandered around for a half an hour trying to figure out how to get into my room or even where my room was after flying for 14 hours. Luckily I found a cleaning person in a nearby room who helped me find a key to get into my room. I had no one I could...

"Ein sehr schönes Erlebnis. Riesige Zimmer mit sehr viel Platz und allem was man braucht. Sehr bequeme Betten sowie saubere Zimmer und einem neuen Bad. Man hat den Charm des alten Hauses gut wieder gegeben mit dem Touch von neuem. Für Hundebesitzer sehr zu empfehlen. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr höflich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war gut und es fehlte an nichts."

"Das Familienzimmer Nr. 2 in der 1.Etage war super. Die Boxspringbetten sind äußerst bequem. Mein Hund war sehr herzlich willkommen. Das Frühstück war echt toll. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und geht auf jegliche Sonderwünsche gerne ein."

"Pension Barbara is a very cosy and clean pension right next to the paths leading up to The Brocken. The hostess was very sweet and attentive, and we had a good stay. Schierke as a town is a bit dated and quiet in the autumn, when we visited. Is was difficulty to find a place to just have a couple of drinks etc. The national park, Brocken and paths are all excellent for a short hiking-holiday. Great nature, chalenging paths (if you want it), nice restaurant on the summit."
