Children naturally feel at home in all the island’s towns—no wonder, since Sylt boasts the world’s largest sandpit with over 40 kilometres of fine sandy beach—but Wenningstedt has made a name for itself as a family destination. In winter, an ice rink is set up right on the cliff, next to the futuristic and unmissable Gosch-Palast; in summer, beach volleyball is played there; and year-round, Sylt4Fun provides even more fun in the Norddörferhalle with a bouldering wall, trampoline, scooter course, and other rotating activities.
