Had a great stay here
Cabin was what we needed
It was clean, great grill to cook with
Had AC we did not need after day two
Such a peaceful place setting on the deck
A beautiful location and awesome cabin. Perfect weekend getaway immersed in nature. Loved the property, the access to trails, and how secluded the cabin is. The view from the deck was breathtaking.
Property was well kept and had everything we needed. Marilyn was very accommodating and made our stay pleasant. The view at sunset was stunning and the stars at night were amazing as well. We will definitely be returning!
If you want incredibly quiet, this is your place. About 4 miles from Wellsville, this rustic cabin is secluded in the woods. It is older and well worn but sturdy. A lovely deck for reading and relaxing or having coffee. We did not cook food but the small kitchenette is sufficient. Towels and some small toiletries are included. Parking is nearby. And no bears!
What an amazing property! I enjoyed the peace and quiet of nature and got to truly relax for a few days. The cabin was perfect. It was clean and had everything i needed. The bed was so comfortable! The host was responsive to messages. I would love to visit again!
We had a wonderful time at this charming cabin nestled in the woods on the side of a mountain, again. Marilyn is the best host - quickly responsive, welcoming, thoughtful and helpful. The cabin is cozy and well appointed and has a lovely deck that lets you sit and enjoy a great view from up high amongst the boughs of the hemlocks, situated perfectly for the beautiful sunsets. Stores are within a 10-15 minute drive so we really had everything we needed along with the most restful stay. We'll be back again soon!
It was a very easy process
The cabin was very nice only thing the bathroom shower could have been cleaner
Everything else was perfect
Overall I would recommend
Had a wonderful time
Experienced a wonderful short term “getaway”.Lisa was wonderfully easy to correspond with.Any questions or concerns were addressed in a very punctual manner. A very beautiful and private property which was tranquil/serene. Our four-legged canine (Sköl), had a wonderful time!
The place is awesome! The sunset through the windows, the cozy atmosphere of the cottage, the cute little bathroom, the hammocks, the trails - altogether a great place to go. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!
My wife and I had a wonderful stay here. We were able to grill and sit around a fire in the evening. We were able to shut out the hustle and bustle of our lives and concentrate on celebrating our anniversary and listening to nature. Also, the sunsets from the deck are wonderful!
Serenity / noun / the state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled.
Loved getting away to this nice cabin in the woods! The name says it all and the sunset view from the deck was beautiful! So great to be able to take our dog and do some hiking with him too. Thanks again Marilyn ...would like to try and get there for a fall get-a-way!
This cabin is absolutely breathtaking. We came here to escape the noise of the Big Apple, and what we discovered was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we knew this place was something special. Surrounded by tall trees and with sweeping views of the mountains, it felt like stepping into a postcard. Each morning began with the soft drift of fog over the trees, and each night ended under a sky full of stars, accompanied by the sounds of nature all around us. It was peaceful, grounding, and exactly what we needed to disconnect and recharge. If you love hiking and being immersed in nature, this place is perfect — with scenic trails just minutes from the door and wildlife all around, it feels like your own private retreat in the woods. We’re incredibly grateful to have found this gem. Thank you for sharing it with us and allowing us to create such unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to return.

Very quiet place to stay!
Will say it rained every day we we were there
Unfortunately we did not get to see what we wanted
But we got away
Lisa was very helpful( two times that she had to let us in the cabin)
Sorry Lisa!
It was located in the perfect location. Private and relaxing with Mother Nature sounds and views that were breathtaking. It was close enough for a drive into the little town to get groceries and enjoy an ice cream. The beds were comfy and the shower water pressure was great. Cabin lay out was very roomy, fresh and clean. The fire pit was nice to sit around on the cool nights. Sad that we didn’t book for a longer stay but maybe one day we can book again if ever out traveling that way. Thank you Marilyn for being a fabulous host and sharing your serenity space with us.
Lisa's location is wonderful! Serenity is the perfect name for this place. The only sounds for the most part are the birds and the breeze. The cabin is small but it had everything we needed. The deck is the perfect place for a morning cup of coffee or an afternoon book. We took full advantage of the trails and the fact that we were the only ones there and hiked all over the property. We liked it so much that we are now looking for a house in the area. The fact that Lisa has spent the past 30 years maintaining, preserving and developing this 138 acre paradise is very impressive, and makes the place even more special. I highly recommend this spot to all nature lovers!!

We got there, after a tough time finding the place, found a picture window with a broken part held together with tape, a very cold room( we turned on the stove and oven until we found the baseboard heaters( no mention of those that I recall beforehand)
The futon in the front room needed to grab the table to pull yourself up, the mattress in the bedroom was uncomfortable, too.
The fridge had a rotten apple in the door, plus a dead gnat in it.
The WiFi would not connect, so no internet, rsdio or TV. Only jigsaw puzzles
The pond shown in the property photos was dry. Plus, we had a visitor unexpected, a mouse, who was bold enough to come out repeated and make its way from the kitchen to the bedroom.
