"We had a terrible stay at the Alouette resort. The room was run down, walls were thin, shower never got hot after 30min. Sheets and pillows smelled like they were not laundered. Reviews said free breakfast we were never offered and had to pay for Luke warm weak coffee. The gentleman at the front desk was very dismissive about the shower water, giving all kinds of excuses instead of apologizing for it. The woman who checked us in was very nice tho. Photos on Expedia are misleading only showing the one newer ocean view building . All other buildings were run down , even the floor in the room slanted."

They were supposed to have breakfast, but I guess they hadn't gotten it started yet, so it wasn't available for our stay. So many great restaurants locally to choose from, and a short drive to many wonderful beaches and nature preserves. Overall, everything was great! Would definitely return there."

"Beautifully kept old style hotel. Great woodwork natural light, sitting rooms with fireplaces. Rooms are clean and well maintained, nice breakfast/ buffet. Excellent location"

"Hotel certainly not ready for travelers. Had to find off street parking in heavy rain just to check in. Next day, shower did not work. Had to shower in another room. No coffee avail at the hotel. Should not have been open with the lack of expected amenities."
