Rick, Becky and dogs were super accommodating. Very nice and friendly. Had an excellent stay and definitely will be back. Perfect place for off roading adventures. House was clean and had everything you would need or want.
It worked for our small family. It’s near where my parents live and there aren’t a lot of options so we were grateful to have this one. It was clean and had coffee supplies so you can’t ask for more. Beds were comfortable. Very clean.
One of the great features of staying at a VRBO is the experience is more like staying at home rather than the impersonal feeling of a motel. The Desert Bungalow in Smith Valley is the perfect home-stay. Everything about the house was done with a lot of thought and consideration by the owners. Coffee and a brewer were provided as well as an assortment of snacks. All bathroom soaps and shampoos were in place. We really appreciated the wall photos of mustangs, ranch life and sunsets. We have stayed at VRBOs around the country several times and this was the best.Next time we are in the Wellington area, we look forward to staying at the Desert Bungalow.
I would like to say that the bungalow is a fantastic place to stay. We stayed 3 nights and went riding for our sons birthday. Becky & Rick are so nice, kind and very helpful on telling us about awesome trails to ride. The home had everthing in it just like a resort. It was very clean when we showed up and she even had smores to make and popcorn to have while watching a movie. We will for sure be coming back and staying there again. One of our favorite places. I strongly recommend staying at the Cozy Dessert Creek Bungalow for your little getaway or a weekend of riding. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful Bungalow with us.
This is one sweet 2 bedroom home. It feels brand new!
Clean, solid Kitchen, great TV, comfortable couches, nice beds! Extra clean bathroom..
Did you forget your toothbrush? Shampoo? It's all there for you. Did I mention new coffee pod maker, along with coffee pods for you.
Becky and Rick are great warm people. They are right next door, yet you would never know it as they afford you complete privacy, yet they will share all the information about the area one would ever need.
Bottom line.. One of the best VRBO experiences ever!
The property was immaculate! Hosts were gracious and non intrusive. Desert Creek right outside lends to the tranquility of the cottage. Easy access to OHV, BLM and the valley make this place a gem. We will absolutely be back!
We needed a place to stay close to Walker River Resort where friends with RV’s were staying. The home was almost new and everything one would want was there. We didn’t use much as left in the morning and returned after dinners with friends.
We checked in late and it was very personalized. There was the personal entry code custom made for remembering. The property was immaculate, well appointed with charm and ambiance. The furnishings were unique and comfortable. The most astounding thing is that everything and I mean everything worked. It was hot outside and the air conditioning in combination with the fans made our home time very comfortable.
The next morning we met Becky and she was very warm, kind and friendly.
Later that afternoon when we returned to the property after some exploring we received the kind country wave and were afforded our privacy which was wonderful.
Upon our checkout the following day (Sunday) we visited with Becky and Rick and made new friends.
Listen all, this property is a very nice destination, book it and be glad you did or don’t and be sad!
I know I will be returning to the Desert Creek Bungalow sooner than later.
Happy travels to all that have read my review!
Mike
