If it's your first time travelling during the COVID-19 outbreak, you'll notice a host of new restrictions and rules in place. Take note of these tips and make your journey to Welch Island go off without a hitch:

• Find out if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before booking anything. Also check if there are any special conditions you'll need to follow on arrival, such as installing a contact tracing app.
• You must wear a face mask at the airport, including at security checkpoints. You should be prepared to lower your mask to verify your identity when asked by a TSA officer.
• Avoid handing your boarding pass (paper or electronic) directly to a TSA employee. Instead, position the pass on the reader and then hold it up to allow the agent to visually inspect it.
• TSA now permits passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on bags. This will have to be removed from your bag for X-ray screening.
• Place any personal items (phone, wallet and keys for example) in your carry-on instead of a bin to minimize handling during the screening process.
• Separate any food you're carrying for screening. Food items often set off the alarm. Placing them in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA officer to handle and inspect your belongings.
