A little chilly....
Arrived to a cold house at 50 degrees. Did warm up with turning on furnace after about 45 minutes. No dish towels- they would have been nice. Had to use bath towels in the kitchen. No wifi and poor cell service. We actually like this property and have stayed here previously. Suspect that the details a little lax because off season for a lake house.

Kelly- I am so sorry that we did not warm up our home before your arrival but I am glad that it warmed up pretty quickly for you. We have plenty of dish towels- not sure where they got placed by the cleaners but I will make sure they are more accessible. . We had wi fi in the past but the service is horrible in our area so we cancelled it. You do best with setting up a Hot Spot! Because our home has a tin roof- cell service is not so great. Cabin on the Lake
My group of two adults and 7 teens thoroughly enjoyed their time. We were able to plan our yearly activities and enjoy the lake and all it has to offer. The teens enjoyed using the paddle boats and swimming in the lake. It was very easy to put our boat in. The cabin is definitely well-lived in with some items left in cabinets, fridge, pantry, etc. The fridge leaks water inside, so careful of what you put in there. The dining room table only seats 6, but we were able to enjoy the outdoor seating for suppers together. There wasn't any cell service (which kept teens from being on their phones all day) or WiFi which prevented us from using the internet to help us plan. Also, there was lots of ants in the kitchen. We put out traps, but it didn't put much of a dent in them. Overall, it served it's purpose and we enjoyed our time by the lake. Perfect location!

Run down cabin, in a subdivision.
This rental is in a subdivision, with only 2 parking spaces. The cabin is very small with oversized furniture, which makes it hard to even move from one side of the room to the other.The refrigerator leaks water all over your food, and the ice maker doesnt work. The light in the upstairs bathroom doesn't work, and it's extremly hard to turn the shower on. The beds upstairs are uncomfortable and noisy. The roof has a terrible leak.There is no wifi and my phone did not work the entire week. We were staying the week and there was no where to put groceries, because the pantry is full of useless junk.The only thing good about this rental is the lake.

This review is from a renter who did not comply with the rules. We have 2 parking spots next to our home but there is also additional parking- public parking within one minute of our cabin. We removed the oversized furniture. The refrigerator does not leak. The light in the bathroom works. The pantry has lots of room for groceries. We do not have WiFi because there is no good service in the area. Hot spots work great. Our roof is tin so cell service works best when you are outside on the deck.

Great trip
The property area and house were very nice, clean and as described. House number/ house color is a little bit difficult to see in the dark, but we found it. The location on the map before booking is a couple of miles difference than the actual location, but not a game changer. Host was very communicative. We had a great time. Thank You.

Overall a good experience with a few pros and cons
Pros: house was very clean on the inside and very well stocked. Beds were super comfortable and overall was a nice place to stay. Cons: not boat friendly at all. Boat parking is up the hill away from the house and no way to keep a eye on it. Ramp was completely un usable because of winter pool which is most places on this lake at this time of the year. Grill was completely rusted to the point of not being able to cook on it. and only 2 eyes worked. And porch had several rotted boards on it that was super weak when you step on them overall nice place with just a few cons. Don’t hesitate to book for your nxt trip.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. We advertise that the water is down and AL power starts letting it up April 1st. When we have deep water your boat can be right in front of our home at the dock. We had planned to get out new grill to our home before you arrived but it did not happen. So sorry for the inconvenience. We replaced many deck boards recently but we will check them again. There has been alot of rain recently so some may have come loose. Come stay again when we have deep water. Thank you for booking our cabin!

Nice cabin
The cabin was nice and clean. There were a few things I wish were better described. They talked about their dock but it is a shared dock. I didn’t realize how close the neighbors were. The pavilion is a public pavilion and a few days before we arrived, we received instructions on how to get there and how to check in but the owner also asked that we not turn the air below 75 because she stated the units would freeze up. People are used to different temperatures and I think this should have been included in the description. Overall we had a good time but wish the description would have been better before we booked it.

Yes, we advertise a shared dock but with our own boat slip. Our cabin is in a small subdivision with an HOA. The temperature is just a recommendation, so the ac does not freeze up in the summer. Thank you for booking with us.

The house was nice. We weren’t super impressed with the lake near the property. We rented a boat from the marina and had to drive to another part of the lake that was less muddy and more open. The neighborhood is quiet and the house is well stocked. We had a great time!

Thank you for staying with us. We do not have deep water by our home so it can be muddy if there is a lot of rain. We love our quiet cove versus the deep water with lots of traffic and big waves. We also do try to stock our home, so you don't have run out to the store the minute you arrive. Thank you for staying with us!

Overall the place was great and had plenty of room for our family who was here for a dedication service of our old home place. The owner gave great directions on how to get to the property and how to get into the property. You could tell the exterminator had been there because fortunately there were dead bugs instead of live ones!!! Thank you for that!!!

Homey Holiday Getaway
The lake house was just as described and more. The house was very clean, comfortable and stocked. Our group had teens, young adults and adults the house provided areas for each group to hang out and enjoy. The bunk room was a hit the kids played videos games and sat on the deck. The adults enjoyed the wonderful wrap around deck and the cozy living room was great for family time fun and games. We would definitely love to return and be able to enjoy the lake more in the warmer weather as the dock, boat ramp and cove made the lake an enticing adventure to be sought after. Thank you to the Clarks for their immediate and helpful response on a holiday weekend to questions that came up. As a side note all the decor with C's made the "Council" family feel quite at home;).

Fun Family Spot
We traveled for a quick getaway and enjoyed this property. It's a great location for kids. Easy access to the water. Kids loved the playground. Very quiet area even though other homes are around. Would definitely recommend!

Time with Family at the lake
We did enjoy our time here. The home is cozy and clean. There are many trees for shade and a nice deck to hang out on. We had two 12 month old's and a 2 year old. Most of our time was on the deck. The land is slopping quiet a lot, so this is hard for toddlers to walk easily. Due to recent storms we did not swim, but my 2 year old grandson caught his first fish. We did take them to boat ramp to play in water and put up a small pool on deck to play in. The boat dock is very nice to tie your boat on. We had a great time.

The Noles' 2021 lake vacation
A wonderful house to stay in !! My family and I had a great time because being in a cabin like this, right on the water (with a boat dock) made our vacation a 100 times better than if we had gotten a motel room. The cabin had everything we needed, even games for the grandkids. So well kept and clean. We hope to be able to stay there again in the near future.

Great house and location
The property was great. We enjoyed our stay very much. The property does need a little TLC. The dock lights didn’t work, the outdoor lighting in the storage didn’t work. The ants took over the food in the pantry and cabinets. The fridge leaked on the inside so we had to have containers to catch the water. But overall the house was very cozy. The whole family enjoyed themselves. We had something to do daily. We enjoyed all the water toy activities that was in the storage. There is no WiFi, so if you need to work while on vacay, bring your own hotspot. We have Verizon and the phones didn’t work on the inside of the house, we had to go outside on the porch. We would definitely come back to this property. The lake was fabulous. We are planning our next summer vacay! Thanks to the Clark’s for sharing your home!

Amazing time
The renting process was simple and Renee was a pleasure to work with and actually helped me with booking glitch that I made. The property was great, had my boat docked at the pier and just walk down and take off whenever I wanted to. My wife and grandkids had a great time as well. Good times!!!

Graduation Trip
My son was graduating from Auburn and we live in North Alabama. This cozy cabin was perfect for my parents and my wife and younger son. The environment was very peaceful and relaxing. We drove down Friday night and cooked a nice dinner then retired to the back deck to wind down before going to bed. Although the cabin was a little over an hour from Auburn, it made the trip down easier as well as the trip back. We had a lazy Saturday morning breakfast and then headed to Auburn with plenty of time before the ceremony. As planned, we stayed in Auburn all day and then came back after the graduation dinner. The next morning had breakfast and coffee on the lake and headed home after that. It was a wonderful trip.

Great relaxing trip
Our stay at the cabin was wonderful and just what we were looking for at this time. We had some days that we didn’t leave the cabin and just relaxed by the fire pit and other days when we drove to the local parks for some hiking trials and waterfalls. The town of Wedowee is tiny and quiet, but the cabin is extremely close to the grocery store, drug store, and a few local restaurants. Overall we had a wonderful stay!

Our family absolutely loved staying here! The home is so cute and comfy. The owners keep it well maintained, it was super clean and we had everything we needed.
