The Space:
Welcome to Cozy Mountain Hideaway – Unit 2, a newly renovated lower-level apartment in Waynesville offering a comfortable mountain getaway with a private entrance, covered porch, seasonal mountain views, and a peaceful wooded setting. The apartment features mini-split A/C throughout, making it a comfortable retreat in every season.
The spacious one-bedroom apartment sleeps up to four guests with a king-size bed and twin-over-twin bunk bed, all outfitted with new memory foam mattresses. Relax in the living room with a Smart TV and Bluetooth speaker recliner, perfect for settling in after a day of exploring. The well-equipped kitchen features all-new appliances and a garbage disposal and does not include a dishwasher. A new washer and dryer add convenience for longer stays. Please note that the wood-burning fireplace is not operational. Thoughtfully selected new furnishings complete the refreshed space.
Property Layout: Unit 2 is located on the lower level and is attached to the main house, which serves as the owner's quarters. A separate studio, Cozy Mountain Hideaway – Unit 1, is also attached to the main house on the opposite side and is rented independently. If you're traveling with a larger group, both Unit 1 and Unit 2 can be rented separately to accommodate your group while maintaining separate living spaces.
Step outside to enjoy the covered porch and surrounding natural setting, or head out to explore the many outdoor activities nearby. Cycling enthusiasts can visit Raccoon Creek Bike Park or Vance Street Park, while anglers can fish for stocked rainbow, brook, and brown trout along Richland Creek. Lake Junaluska also offers fishing and scenic riverside areas. A valid North Carolina fishing license is required; licenses are available nearby at Ace Hardware on Dellwood Road.
Golfers can choose from Waynesville Inn & Golf Club, Laurel Ridge Country Club, or Lake Junaluska Golf Course. Other nearby attractions include the Wheels Through Time Motorcycle Museum and the Waynesville Recreation Center Indoor Waterpark, making this a convenient home base for enjoying the mountains, outdoor recreation, and attractions of the Waynesville area.
