"We were thankful to find a place to stay in Wawa because the Highway on east/south was closed due to an accident. It was a motel, not fancy but clean and comfortable. It appeared to recently have been updated. There was a mini-frig and coffee maker. Some restaurants were closed that evening, either because it was a Monday or for the season. We did go into town and walked along the lake to stretch our legs. The statue of the BIG goose isn't far from the hotel (Wawa means "wild goose" ;) and the Wawa Bar and Grill served excellent fish for supper. The price of this motel fit our needs for a clean bed and a hot shower. (The outlet in the bathroom wasn't working in our room)"
