We had a great time and this cabin was very comfortable. The lake is just a few steps away from the porch. Our hosts were very accommodating and responsive to any of our requests. Thank you for a great vacation.
Was perfect for a snowmobile trip worked out well with easy access to the trail. Everything was perfect

Reviewer Comments:
We are extremely disappointed in our stay January 20-23rd 2023 in Deer Cabin Wilderness Bay Resort, Watersmeet Michigan. The first morning no hot water for showers. Upon further investigation, the hot water tank was on vacation mode. This is something that should of been on checklist of management prior to check-in of new guests. At day of departure when emptying trash in the kitchen, we found a dead mouse between garbage bag and bottom of garbage can. We notified management of issues and expressed our disappointment and asked for some type of accommodation for this inconvenience. They came back and offered us $100 towards our next stay. We thanked them but told them we wanted a credit to our credit card versus this future stay. We asked to speak to someone from management but all replies were sent from office. We find this offer unacceptable and quite presumptuous that we would return based on our experience. Heller Vacation is all about making money and not about customer service. The cleaning fee of $295 is very high not to mention the Trust & Safety check of $42 along with booking fee of $55. These extras are 36% of total expense. We have stayed at many places and have never experience such a high expense.Waiting for management to do the right thing!

We had a good time as usual and have stayed here for quite a few years. The store where we got our license’s and bait were closed until Wednesday so had to go to town for these items. The boat gas at the docks were removed so had to take boat to Bent’s camp for gas. Cabins are very nice and clean as has been the case for year’s
