Great stay! Nice, private property

My family (plus pup) has a great stay at this property. Everything was as pictured, and the cabin was very clean. We enjoyed the fishing and the kayaks for a week away.

Spectacular Location

With a small lake on one side and the river in the other, it made water activities extremely convenient. The fairly remote location made for a quiet and relaxing weekend. Would highly recommend this property.

Loved The Lake House

We took a long weekend and stayed at The Lake House for the first time. This is a wonderful place. Peaceful and quiet, we enjoyed listening to the birds and watching the water. It was clean and comfortable and felt like home. Highly recommend!

Serene Getaway

This was a really nice getaway for my husband and I for a few days. The cabin was very clean and welcoming. We enjoyed going out on the lake on the paddle boat. There were so many turtles and they were fun to watch. It was just a nice, quiet place to recharge for a few days.

Relaxing getaway

My husband and I had a very relaxing weekend. Everything was clean and very nice. We didn’t catch many fish but the calmness and quiet is exactly what we needed. The host was quick to respond to our questions and would love to come back!

Loved the location!

We loved our stay in the Lake House. The photos were very accurate, and the whole place was nice and clean. We saw so many turtles and frogs in the pond and our daughter loved the paddle boat. It was also easy to use the dock on the Wapsi side to get our canoe in and out. It is a very peaceful, quiet setting but still close to the conveniences of town. We hope to return!

Very relaxing

We had a wonderful stay. It was private, quiet, and relaxing. The setting is beautiful. The house is comfortable, clean, and nicely furnished. The house has splendid views on both sides and has multiple windows to enjoy the scenery. The one item that would have made the views better is if the windows had been cleaned.

Relaxing

We had a wonderful time. Very quiet and relaxing. Wi-Fi worked fine. The 2 tv's in the living room areas worked just fine but could not get the tv in the bedroom to work. Overall it was a very enjoyable and relaxing time. Sure we will be going back again.

Guys Fishing Trip

Dad and sons enjoyed 5 day fishing trip. Fish were biting and time together was great. Cabin was very private (gated), modernly remodeled, clean, comfortable, relaxing and had everything we needed. Entire grounds of property well maintained (mowed with no tall grass shore to shore). Drive to Independence very short trip. Highly recommend for peace and quiet away from work and city life.

Father's Day

We went to get away from work and let dad and the boys get in some time together. We fished, we used the paddleboat, ran RC cars, watched some movies, and just had good family time. The house served the purpose we rented it for....nature, family, and space. We had a really good time and made great memories. Owners were super easy to work with and information was freely and easily shared and made everything so easy

Peaceful

We just spent last weekend at the lake cabin and we would recommend it. We live in the country and enjoy the solitude and quietness. The only sound we heard at the cabin were the geese (which I love). We kayaked, fished and paddleboarded. Took our 2 dogs and it was nice not to have to tie them up. Pretty cool to have the little lake on one side and the river on the other. Adam was a great host.

Such a neat property!! In between 2 bodies of water there are very few places for a dog to get lost! They had a blast exploring the grounds, we enjoyed fishing and kayaking. It had everything I expected and more. We'll be back!!!

Quiet, Tranquil Stay

Stayed on property as a base to meet family/friends in the area. Stay was quiet. Property was nice and the host was very attentive and helpful. Will definitely keep in mind another stay when back in the area.
