Country quite but off the beaten path. Extraordinary personal attention by owner...great spot for special events like wedding, small party or family reunion.
Bedding not the most comfortable.
Went to rural Maine for a wedding and although we weren’t at the inn for any length of time we felt very very welcome and comfortable. Our room was beautiful and breakfast and company were amazing!
Staff were very attentive while in the background.
Our stay was a surprising delight. We didn't know what to expect. We also had know idea The Waterford Inne was literally in the middle of know where. And we could not have been more happy with our decision. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Barbara, the Inne Keeper who made us feel like we were being welcomed back. It was our first time. She showed us to our room (The Nantucket) and we were shocked at how quaint and "new" the room was. Every aspect of the Inne was new and clean for this 100 plus year home. Breakfast was amazing. We wish we known about making dinner reservations. Which would have been a great option as well. The Adirondack chairs overlooking the pond and landscape made for a nice evening of relaxing. We will be back!!!!!
Staff extremely professional, punctual, courteous and organized. The Inn was beautifully decorated for the holiday, clean and warm. Food and other amenities for comfort were plentiful, appetizing and timely. Also, had the opportunity to meet owners Barb and Jan who were rich in history and conversation. The Waterford Inn is easily accessible and comfortable. I would highly recommend...Dr. Deborah D. Dancy, Boston Massachusetts
It was a night stayed for a wedding but turned out really good. Would love to stay again for a relaxing vacay. The room is super clean and well decorated. Very welcoming atmosphere.
This place was a great find. We were there only for a quick overnight, but it seems like it would be a good spot for a longer stay. The house is comfortable and beautifully decorated, our room (Nantucket) was lovely with a good-sized en-suite bathroom, and the bed was super comfortable. The hostesses were fantastic. We didn't have dinner there, but breakfast was excellent.
We actually couldn't have been happier with the Inne & staff. Breakfast was great, beds comfortable, very well maintained and clean, nice landscaping. Great for couples or family. A very charming inn and we would definitely stay there again should we be in the area!
It was a wonderful place to stay. I was only able to stay one night but it was definitely a worthwhile time.
Be sure to arrange ahead of time for the dinner!!
Staying at this property was among the best I have had, ever. The owner/hostess made me feel at home; the room was cozy and very clean, and the custom breakfast terrific. The beautiful surroundings made the visit a real treat.
Beautiful grounds, peaceful and romantic and the inn keeper is just delightful. We came early October for the leaves and it was very pretty! The room was very comfortable. We drove looking for a bottle of wine and walked into a wine store that sells yarn/knitting stuff also (interesting combo) that was having a wine tasting event. Really enjoyed the stay.
Staying at the Waterford Inne was absolutely amazing. We were only there for one night, but wished we could’ve stayed longer. Our hosts, Barb and Jan were extremely gracious, and the accommodations were exceptional. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to that part of Maine.
I had a lovely stay at the Waterford Inne. Despite the rainy weather, the hosts and the inn were warm and welcoming. The room I stayed in was beautifully appointed, comfortable, and quiet. The food and service were fantastic.
I stayed at Waterford Inne one week-end recently. I'll give this place an A . It is very clean, nice rooms and very homey. Looks like an old country house with all the charm that goes with it. If you want to get away for week-end for a nice quite and relaxing place, this is it. They also serve a nice breakfast.

We have visited the Waterford Inne at least 15 or more times over the past 35 years, and it always is superb. Every aspect of our visit always exceeds our prior joy in visiting. The standards remain very high.
Beautifully and tastefully decorated inn. Library has a good selection of books, a piano, and a TV. If you need WiFi, this is probably not for you. The hostess/owner has just the right balance of welcoming you into her home without being intrusive. I highly recommend it. I expect to return really soon.

Wonderful hostess
Barbara was very welcoming and pleasant upon our arrival, and made sure we felt at home. Her breakfast was very good but the coffee was outstanding!! It's the water.
