Beautiful relaxing and so comfortable

This was a wonderful place for a group of friends for a reunion! So well appointed it had everything we needed and the swimming area at the end of the road was delightful!

Exactly what we were looking for. Host was attentive but not intrusive. There was an ease of communication. The property was very cozy and welcoming. At times we felt ourselves choosing to stay at the place rather than attend previously scheduled events.

Wonderful stay in Waterford

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage. The cottage was cozy, comfortable and clean. It’s such a peaceful place. The cottage is set up for a very relaxing experience. I would definitely stay here again!

Great getaway for our family!

We stayed at Cat’s house for about half a week and it was just as we expected! The small front room was perfect for my toddler to sleep. The house had everything we needed, was in a great location and Cat was super easy to communicate with. We loved our stay and will be back if we are heading to CT again!

Comfort Location and Peaceful

We just loved our time . Beautiful back yard with plenty of places to relax. I loved the screened in eating socializing area . The house is well stocked , clean and located down the street from beautiful Niantic River . We will be back

Wonderful and Relaxing

The cottage was fantastic, great location and plenty of room for our family. The back outside patio was delightful to enjoy coffee in the morning and drinks in the afternoon ! A short walk down the road brings you to the water. Nice for a swim or to splash around. Watching the boats was great.

Post wedding vacation

Wonderful location for a post wedding vacation with extended family. The cottage was clean, welcoming and in a fabulous location close to great restaurants, shops and the Niantic Boardwalk. The host was easy to communicate with and very kind. It provided all of us with a nice location to relax, both inside and outside, after a very busy weekend. We all would highly recommend this location and would rent here again in the future.

Peaceful and Relaxing vacation.

What a beautiful week! Cate’s cottage had everything we needed! The cottage was very clean, bright and cheery Enjoyed 5 beautiful beach days. We walked around Niantic and enjoyed some nearby restaurants an enjoyed delicious ice cream from Cowlicks ice cream store. Thank you! We really enjoyed our time here!

Clean and fun house.

Wonderful Little Getaway

This was perfect for my family of 4 and my parents for a little beach getaway. The house was in a great location close to several beaches and a quick drive to Mystic! The hostess was fantastic to work with. We were arriving a little early and she was very accommodating to our needs! Also gave awesome suggestions for beaches and places to eat which we really enjoyed. Would highly recommend!

Quaint home and wonderful location

This lovely house was comfortable and clean. The location was perfect for scenic, relaxing strolls, and drives to Niantic and other towns. The garden and common areas were peaceful and cozy. I’m sorry we didn’t have more time to hang out there. All went well and the owner was helpful. I would definitely come back here.

Beach town getaway

This is a really cute house in a great area. It is a two minute walk down the street to see the Niantic River. You can sit there for hours just watching the boats go by. Very quiet with beautiful sunsets. Also a five minute drive to the cute town of Niantic full of restaurants and shops. The house itself has a fully stocked kitchen, very clean, multiple indoor seating/ relaxing areas and a backyard with comfy chairs for a nap. Great communication with the owner.

Wonderful, relaxing stay!

We loved our stay at Cottage on Wood. Cate was a wonderful, communicative host. The house was perfect for our group of six - we took advantage of games and activities in the house, enjoyed relaxing in the front room which got lots of sunshine, and spent time in the spacious backyard. Rooms were cool and beds super comfortable. Everything was clean and accessible. The location was excellent and we loved the 2 minute drive to the boardwalk where we enjoyed lots of restaurants and local attractions; a 20 minute drive to Mystic and the casino which we also took advantage of. A fabulous week and would stay again!

Amazing cottage at the shore.

This house was a perfect gathering place for all ages. It had plenty of room to spread out, or to find a quiet nook. The firepit and backyard were great settings for some fresh air. The neighborhood was quiet and everyone was friendly. Having access to the beach only a walk away was amazing, and Cate was an incredible host. She was very attentive and provided more than we could ever need. I would definitely recommend this place!

A keeper!

What an awesome place to stay! We had a great few quiet days away. Absolutely loved having access to a beach just at the end of the road. It kept my mornings with a 3 year old packed with great discoveries at the beach - we were there during low tide and every day was different! Plus, it wore out my toddler enough to get an afternoon nap in! The condo was well equipped with everything you'd need in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms! I'd definitely not hesitate to stay here again! Thanks, Cate, for making our little vacation so comfortable!

Wonderful house and owner!

Cottage-on-Wood really is a gem, as the owner Cate calls it! The house is absolutely immaculate. The kitchen is well-appointed, and Cate was so thoughtful in leaving snacks, and other goodies for our family. The house was more than enough room for our family of 3. The location is great; in addition to the local river beach, the house is within a short drive to many other beaches, attractions, and restaurants. We have been doing a lot of VRBO bookings during the pandemic, and this has definitely been our favorite. The house is so comfortable, clean and well appointed, and then on top of that, Cate is incredibly gracious, helpful and responsive. Everything about our stay was an A+!

Wonderful Girls’ Trip

This was a thoughtfully decorated, calm space that was perfect for a girls’ weekend, but was prepared for nearly anyone. My friend and I went with the goal of exploring the area and the lounge about doing nothing. There were plenty of places to sit around and lovely places outside to take advantage of the sunshine. The property had some lovely amenities like kayaks, but we also just enjoyed walking on the streets close to the water. At one point we opened one of the closets and the host had tote bags with towels ready for the beach. It felt like they had thought of so many little details, it was truly lovely.
