The Maki House

  • Welcome to The Maki House, perfectly situated between Bayfield and Washburn.

    Outdoor enthusiasts welcome! Fall brings beautiful colors, hiking, UTV riding and scenic drives to the Northwoods; come check it out while staying in this 3-bed, 1.5 bath home with all the modern conveniences.

    Note: Due to the original design of the home, the two upstairs bedrooms have low, angled ceilings, see photos for more detail.

Wonderful place to stay. The home is beautifully furnished and was impeccably clean. House is by itself and evenings it was quiet. Very convenient to the apostle islands, restaurants, activities and grocery store is a 5 minute drive. Highly recommend staying here!

Excellent experience. Property is perfectly located between the communities of Washburn and Bayfield making it ideal for people visiting the area. We spent our days kayaking Superior and mountain biking on the local trails just down the road. The house was the perfect size for our family of four, with a big yard for the kids to play in, and beautiful deck to eat meals on. Host was responsive and answered all of our questions…usually unprompted. We will be staying here again for sure!
