The only issue is that our room was supposed to be with two beds. We arrived and there was a playpen in our room (weird) and it was a queen. We asked for two beds but they said they upgraded us to a room with a window so it was just one bed. They did eventually move the playpen. I wish we could have had no window and two beds. "The room was clean but patio door lock was broken. There were a couple of stains on the carpet. The water pressure in the shower was dreadful!"

"The grounds are stunning with so much potential but it feels very much a work in progress. We used paddle boards on the lake, which was fab but an additional charge on top of a very expensive room. The sauna wasn’t quite up to heat, we stoked the wood burning hot tub for a dip, tried the lake to cool off and the cold plunge was unfortunately empty.
The room was nice and clean. I booked the junior suite but ended up getting a suite. It didn’t feel any more special than a deluxe room elsewhere...

"There were some lovely touches about the general accommodation such as pretty chandeliers, nice artwork and grand mirrors.
We were in room 6 which was advertised as lacking natural light, this was fine, but the decor was so dark and such a dull lightbulb, it made the room feel so dingy. There was no plug point near the mirror, so doing hair was difficult.
On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and there was a lovely big fan in the room to help combat the heat. Also the bathroom was...

"Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered.
Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. "

"Loved this accomodation. Everything is spotless! Gorgeous location and the twinkling fairy lights and campfires created such a gorgeous atmosphere at nighttime. Wish I didn’t have to rush off early, but will be back! Thank you to Billy and the team. Highly recommend."
