The Space:

Monte at Sheltered Paddock is a private, pet-friendly tiny home set apart from other holiday homes on the property. Drift off under a star-filled sky and wake to birdsong and kangaroos grazing nearby. The farm stay is tucked away in nature, in the tranquil countryside of Warrenmang in the Pyrenees Wine Region—just an hour from Ballarat.







Join us on Saturday 11 April 2026 at the picturesque Avoca River Flat! Sip, taste, and unwind at the Pyrenees Unearthed Festival — a day of fine wine, local food, live music, and laid-back country vibes. Don’t miss it!



Ideally located for exploring the region, the festival is just minutes from local gems like Summerfield Winery and the Avoca Hotel. For those seeking adventure, the Grampians National Park is only about an hour’s drive away — with scenic stops in Stawell and Halls Gap, and highlights including Boroka Lookout, MacKenzie Falls, and The Pinnacle.



This cosy 139-square-foot tiny home offers stunning views of the rolling Pyrenees Hills. It features split-system air conditioning, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and a bathroom equipped with a flushing toilet, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.



IMPORTANT NOTE: If you’re booking for a group, you can take a pick of some of our additional holiday homes (Olive, Clyde, Wren, Monte and Stella) available with just 24 hours' notice.



Our farm stay runs on solar energy, so we kindly ask guests to conserve power during the day. Please note that this is a working farm, so you may hear tractor and farm animals noise, including sheep and Highland cows, during your stay. We recommend bringing your own food and water, and look forward to welcoming you to our peaceful patch of country paradise.



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the tiny house and the surrounding areas, except the land host's private residence. We also have common bathroom accessible to guests equipped with flush toilet approximately 15 metres from the tiny house.



The Area:

Farm Stay at Sheltered Paddock by Tiny Away is nestled in the rustic countryside, featuring a blend of cropping fields, livestock pastures, and vineyards. In addition to nearby wineries, guests can delve into the vast State Forest, offering opportunities for bushwalking, mountain biking, and trail bike riding.



Pyrenees Pies & Takeaway, The Olive & Lavender Store, and Home Made Cafe, are all easily accessible, just a short 18-minute drive from the tiny house. What's more, we're conveniently located just an hour's drive from Ballarat.

- Summerfield Winery is highly recommended for its exceptional wine and wood-fired pizzas.

- Sally's Paddock is a down-to-earth winery place that offers live music and hearty food options.

- Avoca Waterfalls is a seasonal waterfall that's good for hiking, walking, camping, and nature trips

- Taltarni Vineyard is a popular vineyard in the area that serves the best barrel room tasting experience.

- The Avoca Hotel is a goldfields pub that serves food, local wines, and boutique beers served in a cosy interior.

- Blue Pyrenees Estate is a great place to grab a bite with mouth-watering tapas menu options to choose from.



If you're up for a scenic hour-long drive:



- Stawell boasts a storied past steeped in the gold rush era. It's renowned for hosting the annual Stawell Gift, a prestigious footrace held during Easter weekend.



- Grampians National Park is a majestic natural wonderland, featuring rugged mountain ranges, cascading waterfalls, and abundant wildlife. Visitors can explore numerous hiking trails, admire ancient Aboriginal rock art, and marvel at panoramic views from iconic lookouts such as the Balconies and the Pinnacle.



- Halls Gap is celebrated for its close proximity to awe-inspiring attractions, such as Boroka Lookout, which provides panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, Mackenzie Falls, one of the most iconic waterfalls in the region, and The Pinnacle, perfect for hiking and taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.



Getting Around:

By car: 2hrs 25 mins from Melbourne CBD

20 min drive to and from the nearest town



By public transport: You can take the V/Line train from Melbourne to Maryborough or Ballarat, then a bus to Avoca. There is no public transport directly to our property. Can pick up from Avoca for an additional charge by arrangement and availability.

- No smoking allowed on the property or within the tiny house

- Early Check-in and Late-check out available at additional charge

- Abundant wildlife and livestock may be present on the property. Please do not enter animal paddocks or yards, or engage with the livestock without your land host's permission

- Guests are advised to bring portable power banks in case of low power

- Guests are also advised to save energy to avoid running out of electricity

- Please charge your phone and electronics in advance in case of low-light days



🐶 Notice to All Fur Parents/ Pet Owners:



- Pets are allowed with 24 hours’ prior notice. The full pet policy will be sent before arrival.

- Please note that fence improvements are ongoing to create a safer space for your pets. Please supervise your pets and keep them on a leash at all times.

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property

- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
