"The late night staff was helpful and for a small town that was very dead and empty he still pointed us out to a couple good places to get a hamburger at 11 o’clock at night. He also recommended a restaurant called. The labyrinth which is probably the one ofmost interesting restaurants I’ve ever been to in my life. A literal oasis in a dead town."

"Thank God there are still places like this and hosts like JR. I'm sure his guests are mostly hunters and fishers, but I just needed a cheap place to crash on a loooong drive and back to Kentucky. Vintage 70s backwoods motel. Well off the beaten path. Some sketchy roads to get there, but a fraction of the cost of places on the freeway."

"Our experience was nothing short of superb. We had 10 family members and our dog and loved everything about our stay. The kids had an awesome time fishing on the dock and must have caught well over 50 small fish that were returned to the lake. Our son launched his boat at the marina that was about 1 minute away and we attempted to catch some muskies and checked out the entire lake.The kids enjoyed the rides at Midway Park and hiking at Panama Flats. We all enjoyed our s’mores at the lakeside fire pit. The house is very well stocked with about everything you can imagine. Țhe Country Store in the village of Asheville is a must visit. It was a family vacation that we will cherish forever."

"It was a very nice and relaxing time. We enjoyed watching the wildlife and the horses and colt that was next to the property we also enjoyed a fire in the fire ring outside while laying on a blanket reading a book enjoying the day.We enjoyed our stay."
