"A quaint old building in a great location. Perfect for a fun trip to Buffalo. Staff is excellent. Free drink in the lounge each night. Free parking and free breakfast. Room was spacious with a big bathroom and comfortable bed. Not a great spot for business as the wifi is unreliable for zoom calls."

"Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. I can't say enough about how wonderful the front desk staff was to us and helpful they were to ensure we safely got to the Key Bank Center and back for the hockey game. Rooms were clean and the breakfast was outstanding. Would highly recommend!!!"

"Nice historic house with comfortable common rooms and a great location, close to downtown restaurants and a Walgreens open 24 hours. But my bedroom was so small I could not easily walk around, and the half-bathroom was also very small. Wes, the owner, welcomed me at check-in and has a warm personality. But breakfast was not offered, even though a Booking listing said breakfast was provided and the owner mentioned breakfast too. "

"Overall a very nice stay! Loved the ability to open the windows, helps you feel like you’re not in a stuffy hotel! The shower layout was very odd to say the least with no curtain and no door. I can see the vision where they thought the shower was deep enough to prevent water from going out of the shower but no…. It did not😂 the bottom of the bathroom door was peeling upwards from the constant moisture exposure and if you don’t lay a towel down right outside the shower the entire floor will be a puddle before the shower is over! Very convenient location with many things within walking distance! Would absolutely stay again if ever in the area again!"

"Staff treated us as if we were bothering them. The hallways were loud, no staff addressed that. Beds uncomfortable. Carpets were not clean in halls or our room. We also asked for clean towels at 8am when we left the hotel only to return later at nearly 4pm with no clean towels to use. We had to wait for staff to handle this which took some of our precious vacation time away from us. No apology for the clean towel issue, only excuses. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This place is only interested in grabbing as much cash from you as they can. Very poor experience here."

"The good: Great location in the Elmwood Village area. Extremely walkable. Once you're inside, the place is beautiful. It oozes charm and personality. The common areas are great, and our room was very, very nice. Comfortable bed, large bathroom, new TV, fridge. Parking was very convenient. Entry into the building and the room was great, with a custom code that worked on both doors. Finally, very responsive concierge (we interacted through text). The not-so-good: Our room was on the 1st floor, so very close to the common area. The walls are thin, so if people are out there, you hear them. No big deal during the day, but we had people out there from 10 pm until midnight, and they were very loud. That in and of itself isn't the property's fault, but it is a reality if your room is close to that area. The more concerning part, however, is with noise upstairs. This is an old building with wood floors, so every footstep made upstairs is very loud downstairs. The first night, the people above us were apparently doing a cattle drive from midnight until 3 am, and again starting at 6 am. The second night was better, but still, you just hear every footstep and movement. So... we would absolutely stay here again if we were able to get a 2nd floor room. And unless you are one of those people who can sleep through a hurricane, you may want to consider the same."
