The house captivates with its bright, welcoming atmosphere and well-thought-out floor plan. On the ground floor, you’ll find an open-concept living and dining area with a cosy sofa nook and direct access to the covered patio—perfect for sitting outside in any weather and enjoying the view of the lovingly landscaped garden. The modern, fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking together. A guest bathroom and an utility room with a washing machine and dryer provide added convenience—especially practical for longer stays.

Upstairs, you’ll find two cosy bedrooms, each with a comfortable double bed and its own smart TV—ideal for relaxing evenings after a day at the beach. The modern bathroom features both a walk-in shower and a bathtub—perfect for unwinding and feeling at ease.

Just a few steps from the house lies the Wangermeer—an artificial recreational lake offering numerous opportunities for walking, biking, paddling, or simply enjoying nature. The North Sea coast, with its long sandy beaches, is also just a few minutes’ drive away.

A parking space is available right next to the house. Dogs are welcome at the Strandhafer house—the peaceful surroundings are ideal for long walks. The health resort of Hohenkirchen offers everything you need for a thoroughly enjoyable holiday: shopping, two bakeries, a pharmacy, and medical care are all located right in town. Thanks to its central location, you can reach the North Sea in just a few minutes by car or bike. The cities of Jever and Wilhelmshaven are also within easy reach and invite you to take a stroll through town or enjoy cultural excursions.

A special highlight for families is the Nordsee-Spielstadt Wangerland—an approximately 5,000 m² indoor amusement park that’s open rain or shine. Here, children and parents can spend an exciting day together, enjoying a roller coaster, chain carousel, bumper cars, climbing area, ship swing, sandpit, toddler play area, and much more. Important for dog owners: Dogs are allowed only on the designated private beach and the beach at the BUHL Activity Park.

The health resort of Hohenkirchen (Zone 2) is subject to a visitor’s tax. Therefore, a visitor’s tax must be paid on site. This tax is based on the number of people, their ages, and the length of stay. Information on the high and low seasons and the corresponding prices can be found on the Wangerland Touristik website.
The following are exempt from the guest tax:
a) Children up to and including 3 years of age.
b) Severely disabled persons whose “degree of disability” (formerly: reduced earning capacity) is 100% according to an official ID card.
c) Severely disabled persons who, according to their official ID card, are completely dependant on constant assistance (marked with a “B” on the ID card). This means: regardless of the degree of disability (e.g., GdB 80% and designation “B”).
d) Companions of severely disabled persons who, according to their official ID card, are completely dependant on constant assistance.
