I wish it specified which building you're getting when you book. This is a historic hotel, so I thought we'd be staying in the historic hotel, but they put us in the conference center wing (not historic) right across from the elevator so we hear everyone getting off the elevator and talking, and we hear the elevator chiming. They said all these rooms were recently renovated, but the toilet seat looks worn out and the facade of the bathroom vanity is broken.

Fantastic location in the heart of where you want to be. The history of the hotel is pretty cool, too, and the restaurant cocktails are amazing. Definitely recommended.

When we are in Walla Walla we always try to stay here because it’s so convenient to everything in downtown, and also because the accommodations are wonderful and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The restaurant, the Marc, is absolutely awesome. Enjoy.

Nicely appointed hotel with a swank, old-timey lobby and beautifully furnished rooms. Stayed in a double queen room in the newer wing - layout was similar to any number of hotels but the mattresses, furniture, and bathroom appointments were all well above average. Smooth check-in and check-out. Only downside is the noise from upstairs rooms. My room was well-isolated from hallway noise and elevator noise, but it seemed like I could here everything going on in the bathroom immediately above my own. Fortunately the other patron went to bed about the same time I did, but was an odd feature for a hotel that had otherwise though of everything.

Grand old hotel but not stuffy or unfriendly. Very convenient location at the centre of Walla Walla’s small but entertaining downtown. Don’t hesitate to stay in the west wing rather than the tower. It’s been nicely renovated and you’ll save some money.

Under construction, remodel. Bathrooms still very tiny. Took 40 min to check out because construction workers and cleaning staff were in every elevator and we could not get a luggage cart to get to our room or return to our car with our luggage. Appreciated the wine tasting in the lobby by local winery. Nice touch.

The newer section is undergoing a cosmetic remodel. We were in a remodeled room and the new look is great! Sadly still had paint/carpet fumes. Had to sleep with the window open and fan on.

When I checked in the king size bed had two postage stamp, size pillows on it, with only one more in the closet. When I called to ask for more, they told me that they didn’t have any extra pillows because of the “renovation“. The person at the front desk wasn’t able to explain what he meant by renovation, and why a renovation to the building could possibly result in the shortage of pillows. Nevertheless, they did eventually get me one more the following Day. They also have a restaurant there that does not serve breakfast, so you can’t get any breakfast anywhere until 8 o’clock unless you walk a few blocks. Felt like that was kind of lame when they have a great restaurant in the building itself and used to serve breakfast.

Hello Scott, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. The insights enable us to improve. With regard to pillows, I'll offer some explanation. As rooms were taken out of service for renovation, we gifted pillows to team members who were interested, anticipating new pillows would arrive in time to reopen rooms. We missed delivery timelines and therefore ran short on surplus inventory of pillows this past week. We rectified the gap via a trip to Walmart, but that was too late to deliver for you upon your first request. For that and my failure to help our front desk agent explain, I apologize. The new pillows are here for new rooms, and they are awesome - a 70% down / 30% synthetic filler blend. I think guests will love them.On the restaurant, we opened for dinner service on March 21 and opted to give the team time to master that before adding back breakfast. We are set now to reopen for breakfast service tomorrow morning! For this miss on timing, I also apologize and would happily extend an invitation to join us for a breakfast on me next time you are in town. Reach out to me and we can set that up.I would benefit from hearing more about your visit would you be willing to send us a message directly to continue the conversation? I look forward to connecting. We hope you'll consider a future stay with us; we'd be grateful for the opportunity to make a better impression.

It was really nice staying at this historical building. Our stay was very comfortable, clean and quiet. All the wineries and restaurants are walking distance, so no Uber necessary. Just wish the wineries stayed open later than 7:00pm. Some close a lot sooner.

Minor thing= when taking the ice bucket looking for ice, I saw a sign on the wall that said ice on 5th and 7th floors. When I went to floor 5, there was the ice machine, with another sign that said ice on 6th floor, while I was looking at an ice machine. How long have employees been walking past that sign and not saying something? Otherwise a great stay. Thanks

This hotel is beautifully decorated for the holidays. Had to stay in the newer section, which sounds better, but this is a classic historic hotel and we did not get that experience. The bed was not comfortable.
