Looking for a cozy getaway in the "Moose Viewing Capital of Colorado"? Welcome to the Majestic Moose Cabin! This 380-square-foot retreat is located in town, newly refinished while still showcasing the character and charm of its historic roots. The open one-room layout includes a full bathroom, cozy kitchenette, dining space, and a comfortable living area. Sleeping arrangements feature a custom-built queen Murphy bed and queen sleeper sofa, making it a perfect stay for couples or a small family.

Enjoy your fresh caught trout and/or some elk steaks in the backyard on the BBQ grill! Or, if cooking isn't your specialty, the cabin is within walking distance to local restaurants/bars!

While you are in Walden, be sure to keep an eye out for one of our majestic moose!

*No smoking/vaping/marijuana use is allowed in the cabin. *
**Dogs welcome (maximum of 2) with prior approval and agreement to Pet Addendum. $25 pet fee.**

A perfect spot for a simple getaway. Everything was clean and cozy, and we did end up seeing a moose while out here! Mindy was kind and communicative, and Walden is a cute little town. We ventured just outside of town and stargazed in perfect skies.

Such a cozy little (?) space. We loved it! So impressed with the innovative and creative use of space. I think the use of space alone is worth staying here. Inspirational. Close to so many things we love to do in the Colorado mountains.Spent our 25th anniversary here and it was a perfect place for us. Definite thumbs up.

Perfect place to dart in and out of during weekend excursions. I brought provisions but 3 restraunts in walking distance and groceries. Auto parts store too.

Amazing little cabin

This has just what you need for a mountain getaway. Beds, bathroom and kitchen. The owner was able to accommodate us getting into the cabin early on check in date. Great communication and very clean and cozy cabin. We will be back.

Favorite getaway

We love this little town. Christmas spirit everywhere this weekend. We have stayed at the majestic moose before. It's location is perfect. And the hosts are amazing. Almost hate to give away how awesome this little gem is for fear of it booking up! Will definitely be back!

Cozy, Pet-Friendly Retreat

After several stressful weeks preparing our house for sale, we were sent out of town with our pups for a weekend of showings. This little cabin was a peaceful haven and a welcome change. Our host was attentive and gave us precise instructions and great recommendations. We plan to return whenever we can!

We’d come again

Though we didn’t see as many moose as we had hoped, the Majestic Moose was a great place to base ourselves. It’s close to the Arapahoe NWR and a short drive from Colorado State Forest State Park. It was cozy and warm, within easy walking distance to shops in town, and Mindy was very welcoming and informative.

Great location! Just around the corner from Main Street with restaurants, shops, convenience and liquor stores. Squeezed into a small lot but they've done as much as they can with that, and once you are inside it is charming and the best equipped rental I've ever seen. (Loved the Keurig hot chocolate.) The place was actually larger than I expected, based on the lot size and photos. Definitely recommend staying here. We didn't see moose (probably because it was hunting season) but if you are here on a clear night, drive a little ways out of town to see the stars - it's amazing. First time I've seen the Milky Way in years! The locals were so friendly - several stopped when we were star-gazing to make sure we hadn't had car trouble. And definitely visit the Pioneers Museum behind the courthouse - it has everything you can image and lots of things I'd never seen before.

Moose Themed Cabin

The cabin was adorably decorated and the small space was organized so well! The bed was very comfortable. Everything you needed was supplied. Many wildlife viewing opportunities and trails nearby. You are close to several mountain ranges. Saw great sunsets! Can't be beat for comfort and great communication with the owners.

FANTASTIC!

I stayed at the Majestic Moose while I was in town for a conference. If I ever come back through Walden, I will definitely stay here again. Mindy was super responsive when I had questions about the place and/or what to do around the town of Walden. The cabin is super cute, cozy and very clean. I had no issues during my stay. I would recommend anyone to stay here a thousand times over.

Host was great, excellent use of a small space. Bed very comfortable. Christmas decorations a nice touch. Appreciated the ceramic range, gas grill, air fryer and microwave. Perfectly warm and cozy in very cold temps. Beautiful views from outside. We'll be back!

Such a sweet little cabin!

We were delayed by a traffic accident and got in very late, but having the Majestic Moose to land at was so lovely! This cabin is obviously a labor of love for Mindy, and it shows in every detail. And who would think a Murphy bed could be so comfortable?! North Park is stunningly beautiful and I am already scheming how to come back through this amazing part of the Rockies. Thanks, Mindy!
