Room setup is very poor, there is no closet to keep your clothes in, no iron, charging ports are near the TV and none are near the beds, lighting of the room is so dim , beds are not comfortable, one small pillow is provided, bathroom is so small and the sink counter is so small you can not keep your items on, towels are scarce ( 2 towels provided for 2 guests in the room) and not so clean, when requested extra towels, I had to pick up the towels from the front desk.
laugage were shipped to the hotel and they were waiting unsecured in the front lobby accessible to anyone in the lobby.
I do not recommend this hotel

Room was excellent (although we did notice some slight mould buildup around a vent), central Kyoto easy to get to and nice and close to the staion as well, overall was a great stay. The only downside we found was the breakfast selection in the morning was somewhat limited, but if you are looking to spend a few days in Kyoto this is a great hotel to do it at!

Love the room with the river view and likewise the breakfast area with the same view. Did not like the tiny space provided for hanging clothes. Love that the train station is so close to the hotel. Few minutes to walk there. Plenty of restaurants, really good supermarket.
