About this property

September is the Best Month of the Year to Visit Vermont

  • IMPT NOTE: NOT AN IDEAL HOUSE FOR PEOPLE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES. ALL BEDROOMS ON SECOND FLOOR, ONE WITH STAIRS TO THE BATHROOM. I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH.

There's been news reports about how picky VRBO owners are getting. We want potential visitors to know, we own one property, we care about your vacation experience, we are honest, available and responsive.

Waitsfield is a great place to bring your family, friends and dogs ... wide open spaces, fresh air, outdoor activities, winter or summer, all within a few hours drive from all of New England and the tri-state area.

The Snow's Nest is about 2.5 miles from the center of Waitsfield village, where you can find everything you need but still separate yourselves. There are walking trails, canoeing and kayaking, biking, antiquing, farmers' markets, artisanal local foods and fooderies including the Von Trapp (yes, that Von Trapp) dairy farm and store, sporting events, etc.

This is our one and only property we list, we are owner/manager, you are renting our home, we work with you on a personal level. It's not a cookie-cutter rental, it's our home.

Play, eat, sleep. Relax and reconnect, with yourself, with family, with nature. Change your venue, refresh, recharge, regress ...

We have everything you reasonably need. Just pack your clothes, pick up some groceries and you're all set. The house is fully equipped, not only with necessities, but with books, games, videos, toys, kitchen gear .... Three good-sized bedrooms sleep six, two bathrooms, air conditioning, large rear deck with with a full retractable awning, covered front porch, 3.5 acres with a vernal pond at the end of a mown path. Apple trees, pear trees, blueberries and wild blackberries ... We are just off the iconically picturesque Common Road east of town. Views to the west. Please look at the pictures, as they say it all, it's very livable. Our home is designed for YEAR ROUND fun and relaxation.

Open floor plan, warm tones, radiant heat floors, gas-burning fireplace. Appliances include gas stove, d/w, microwave, full w/d. You can easily stay for a weekend, a week or a month.

This house has been continually upgraded every year since we bought in 2009.

We offer streaming fiber optic Internet with WIFI for your own computer. And of course a large TV monitor, as well as another TV in the master.

YOUR CHILDREN AND FLEA-FREE, WELL-BEHAVED PETS* ARE WELCOME. Please clean up after your dog/s.

If you must smoke, outdoors ONLY please, and dispose of butts appropriately.

Please check the calendar for available dates. And get in touch with us. We respond to phone calls or emails, and we want to work with you. You don't make a commitment if you just want to ask a few questions!

    * No Akitas, wolfdogs, Chow Chows, Presa Canarios, or pit bulls. Our insurance prohibits these five breeds. Mutts are fine. :-)
