Instead of cancelling the booking from their end the host messaged me on trivago, since I was expecting a message anyway for the login code, and you have to login to read messages I left it. Host also alerted trivago it was double booked, who did not contact me either. Drove all the way to Dunedin with 2 kids, stranded and nowhere to stay. "Overall our stay was okay, but certainly a little underwhelming to what we were expecting.
It was a lovely period property which you expect to find in Dunedin, but sadly not being utilised to its full potential. Unsure what the term ‘boutique’ technically represents, but if it’s upscale/premium; then this isn’t what we got.
Really great sized rooms and bathroom, but overall lacking some routine maintenance and looking/feeling pretty tired. Although the main areas were clean, edgings, skirtings...
