About this property
Historic gardener's cottage with charm and jetty
From the charming Lindenallee, you get your first glimpse of this historic gardener's house, built in 1710. After a complete renovation, the house now presents itself as a bright and inviting retreat that respects its history, which is reflected in the black-and-white photographs on the walls.
The 150 m² house offers harmonious furnishings with warm colors and timeless elegance. On the ground floor, there is a large kitchen that flows seamlessly into the dining and living area, as well as a bedroom and a bathroom. On the first floor, you will find two more bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower and bathtub.
From the sunny terrace, you have access to the 2500 m² garden with old fruit trees, which extends down to your private jetty on the Schwentine, one of the longest rivers in Schleswig-Holstein. Here you can enjoy the afternoon sun, paddle directly from the jetty, barbecue on the Weber grill, or simply soak up the tranquility of the picturesque surroundings.
From the accommodation, you have direct access to numerous activities. The Schwentine with its many lakes invites you to experience nature: just a few steps away, you can rent boats or SUP boards, go fishing, or swim. Explore hiking and biking trails, the riding stable, or golf courses in the area. The Baltic Sea beaches are also only half an hour away. Nature and bird lovers will find a true paradise in the landscape conservation area around Lake Lanker with its peninsulas and bays. If you wish, our excellent estate chef will be happy to spoil you with a shared cooking experience, a delicious menu, or a cozy Sunday breakfast—so that your vacation also takes place in the kitchen and becomes a culinary experience.
The rustic restaurant "Alte Schule" is located directly opposite and serves regional cuisine, while the impressive estate on which the house is located provides a majestic backdrop for your stay.
