Budget hotel for budget price. The 8.2 rating is pretty misleading. Very nice lady at the front desk.
Wonderful, charming and quaint hotel with an enviable position over-looking Wadi Musa. Fitted out in Bedouin style, the staff are very helpful and the sunset views from the terrace are spectacular. They can help with all your Petra visiting needs, including taxis (1.5 miles to the site) and packed lunches. They order in dinner for guests and everything I had was plentiful and delicious. The room was clean and comfortable, though you do needed to stoop to get through the low doors and the bathroom was somewhat awkward to use. Not a lot of evening entertainment, no TV in the room or bar but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
The hotel is located out of town but provides a great view of the surrounding terrains. The staff is very friendly and helpful. One of the best which I have encountered throughout my 2 weeks road trip to Egypt and Jordan.
The room is very basic and they do not provide cleaning unless upon request. The toilet is very small and you need to cross over the toilet bowl in order to shower. The floor is wet after showering which can be quite uncomfortable to step on.
The hotel has a specific time to turn on the hot water and aircon heater (6 am to 9 am and 5 pm to 9 pm) which can be quite cumbersome to follow the timing.
The wifi connection is super good. Though there is no TV in the room, I can use the Wifi to watch movies online.
The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but there are a few restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. The breakfast selection is not perfect but the view on top is superb.
There is no specific parking area for this hotel and I have to park either on the roadside or in the parking lots in front of the shops beside the hotel.
Friendliness and attentiveness of staff was wonderful, the bagged lunches truly appreciated, the view was terrific, and the wise, eco-considerate use of electricity and water both appropriate and essential; however, the level of dust in the blankets was palpable and the luke warm water hard to bare for even a brief shower.
Great stay! The decoration of the room was lovely and reception was very attentive with us! They even helped us get a bus to Wadi Rum and got us a delicious lunch box that fitted our vegan restrictions perfectly!
The hotel has a very Jordanian feel in it's decor and the owner, Mohammed, was extremely helpful. They don't serve breakfast at the moment because of covid but the hotel supplied a fantastic packed breakfast each day that was enough to last most of the day: large cheese or tuna roll, several cakes, chocolate bar and juice. It was left in a fridge by reception and so was easy to pick up for early starts.
The hotel is at the top of Wadi Rum and has great views, but this means a hard walk up hill from the Petra entrance or 2-3 JD for a taxi.
We stayed on first floor. The first room we were shown had an obsvure glaxed window overlooking industrial var park. Tje window would not lock. We swapped to another room on tje other side of the corridor where tje window locked but nit much better. Not relaxing or a pleasant place to stay altjpugj staff friendly and helpful.
The Place is Nice. My room seemed like a tent in a bedouin campment. But it’s too far from Old Petra Archeological site (around 4km or 3 miles or a half and hour uphill hike). So on top of the JD 26 rate for a single room you have do add Jd 5 to go to the hotel and back (if you haggle HARD with the taxi driver) to leave your luggage at the hotel (the main trail in Petra is 8km/6 mikes return, so you don’t need any extra luggage in you, believe me. And there’s ABSOLUTELY NO LEFT LUGGAGE IN PETRA’S OLD TOWN) and JD5 more when you leave. JD 10 is a meal in a restaurant! So next time I come to Petra, I would not come back this hotel but rather prefer to stay somewhere closer to the Old Town. They do have a complimentary shuttle (read a 5 seat car). it goes to Petra at 7:30 and 8:30am but on the way back the only time is at 4pm, which is too early to leave the site, even in winter when the sun sets around 5:30pm.
Hotel was very comfortable and provided a free shuttle service to Petra and pick up from there later in day. Would recommend their packed lunches. Extremely tasty and good value at 4JD. Reception staff all very friendly and helpful. My only criticism is that although we stayed for 3 nights, there was no cleaning of room and emptying the used toilet paper in bin as it could not be flushed down the toilet.
Nice/helpful staff, spacious room, great view down into Petra valley, big rooftop restaurant with balcony and view, lots of front parking onsite, and offered good/cheap lunch back for our Petra hike.
Excellent location, hospitality, comfort and cleanliness. Very happy withbour choice.

Good value for money
Nice quirky hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, nice food (dinner buffet, breakfast buffet and packed lunch) and overall good value for money. Close enough to Petra visitor centre by car. Great views over Petra from room terrace.

It was very convenient to the entrance to Petra. Only 10 minutes away. Jane at the front desk was very helpful. The meal for dinner was quite good as well the breakfast in the morning. I went in Mid March, so it’s still winter and having a heater in the room was great. I would stay here again.
Simple but clean property. Delicious restaurant upstairs - the included breakfast was delicious and a dinner buffet was offered each evening for 10JD. We opted to ha e a bag lunch for our day at Petra, which was substantial and delicious. We also booked our forward travel to Wadi Rum through the hotel. The camp was amazing. Would highly recommend!

Sorry you found a water bottle under bed - I assure you the rooms are cleaned and vacuumed .... but there definitely should be no water bottles under bed. As for breakfast - it is a local breakfast: olives, hommous, yoghurt, lebneh, cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, salami slices, boiled egg, olive oil and zaarta, fresh bread and sweet biscuits, many jams and also date syrup.
I loved my stay here! Nice view over Wadi Musa and all the amenities I needed for my stay in Petra...also a 10 min walk to downtown, so I just parked my rental car outside the hotel and walked down a few times
They kindly helped me organize an overnight trip to Wadi Rum too (at the Beyond Wadi Rum camp), which was a lot of fun and one of the highlights of my trip as well
We stayed here for 2 nights.Mohammed was a fantastic host , nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are clean and comfortable but fairly basic. We ate in the hotel because the view is amazing.I would definitely stay again if we return to petra
Amazing, amazing view - truly!! Mohammed in reception was extremely helpful and arranged a trip to Wadi Rum for me.
It’s a 10 mins taxi ride from Petra at apx 4 JD each way but the hotel has free shuttle in the morning with return in the afternoon.
Nice place, proprietor is a lovely person. Good value overall. My only two compliants were that the window in our room didn't close and it was cold, we were told it would be fixed but that didn't happen, however heater in room good. Toilet is pegged so close to the bathroom wall making sitting on the toilet an uncomfortable, frankly gymnastic event. Basic, but good breakfast. I would stay here again.
Clean, comfortable and homey with the best views over the Petra town and valley. Brilliant sunsets and sunrises from the funky little rooftop lounge where they serve breakfast and a tasty buffet dinner at additional cost. Bus stops and a shop nearby. Parking the hire car outside wasn’t an issue for us but has potential as it’s on the main road into town. The staff moved their car for us to park in front, Just one more thing to add to the great service they provided here. Happily recommended and we’d stay there again anytime
