The pool was closed and drained. The lobby is closed and you talk to the motel staff thru a safety window. The soap bar shattered into at least 8 pieces just opening the wrapper. Smell in a smoker's room was strong. Staff was helpful when I locked myself out of my room. Not a place I'd recommend though.

Not as advertised.
It did not offer any breakfast even though Hotels.com states so. Also, the floor next to the bathtub was very wet after I showered. The mattress was old and sank when I sat on the edge. The hotel seemed a little run-down. The staff were nice, though.

Our room had a strong fishy smell from the time we opened the door until checkout.Room was ready when we arrived however the front desk said they needed to vacuum.Which was fine knowing your walking into a fresh clean room.Wrong,like I said the fish smell hit you like a brick in the face.We only stayed because we couldn’t get our money back. Positive bit all the stay were extremely nice.

Didn’t look at crime statistics in Wadesboro before booking. Should have. Felt lucky to not have been a victim of something. Manager accommodating, but room not overly clean(dusty) furniture funky. Bath was clean, 2 thin towels and wash clothes. Felt uncomfortable with what was going on around my room. Would not stay again or recommend.

This is not a hotel, motel maybe. This place is run down and need to be completely renovated. The bedspreads are stained and dirty with cigarette burn wholes and the sheets are dingy and disgusting. The overall environment doesn’t look safe and it would take too long to discuss the staff. I don’t recommend anyone staying here

Super uncomfortable
Even though the hotel room was supposed to be non-smoking, it reeked of smoke. The mattress was worn so thin that we could feel the springs without even trying. Incredibly uncomfortable sleep all around. I would drive very far to avoid staying here again.

I find these type of hotels scary. I feel exposed like their isn’t much to protect you when the door and window are on the outside and you hear everything and everyone walking by your room. I went to the lobby to check in and there wasn’t anyone there for about 5 minutes which seemed like a long time. It was weird. The front desk lady said she then had to get the manager. What the hell were they doing. The breakfast they offered consisted of coffee and cereal. No thanks. It was the only option I had as I was attending a mounted archery clinic in Wadesboro.

Management needs to take action
The great thing about this location was the manager Nick. He was pleasant and apologetic. The location is great, close to restaurants, gas station, Walmart. But the rooms were awful. The signs say no smoking but you can smell it in the corridor. The cleaning staff may show up but no cleaning is done. Our microwave was dirty, mold growing on fridge (good thing there was 2), chips on floor (no vacuuming) and someone left us a Wendy's frosty in fridge. I feel bad for Nick because this could be an amazing stay.

When we walked they the door we knew we could not stay there. It was so bad we fidn’t Even want to touch anything. Mattress covers were stained and ragged, dead bugs on the floor, etc. truly a nightmare.
